What has gone wrong with Roston Chase ?
In reply to LBW375 Could be they found him out. All these guys are quite average. 30 or lower batsmen.
Chase is not that good against teams with good pace bowlers in pace friendly conditions.

Who on the team is?
Looks like Chase has nuff trouble with his footwork. No balance so timing off and head falling over his left foot.
Swerving ball causes that. Nuff issues for all our batsmen.

Well if his numbers from the English and NZ tours are taken out Chase would have a Test average of almost 40.

This is TEST cricket. conditions matter. our guys are ordinary

Good assessment.
Chase has had a poor run with the bat, and that's why.

He is having problems with inswinging deliveries...most of the times he is either bowled or lbw.....maybe.....change of stance required....

I dont think he has adjusted to pitch conditions in NZ. Based on radio commentary, its cold, and that maybe a factor of his overall decline...
Chase batting too high!
Chase needs to sort out his footwork and he will be fine

The top six batsmen in the WI line-up need to be in a camp or play in a foreign for a season just to get themselves programmed in the fundamentals, they just do not act professional enough to compete against anyone good.
the same problem all of them have not learning from their mistakes not putting in the time to fix their trchnique issues

I think it is more of not making situational adjustments than making permanent adjustments.
I dont care what kind of fundamentals you have, when you get those kind of deliveries first thing up, you are more than likely going to be knocked over! Even the great Brian Lara was knocked over by Waqar Younis!

Look our best teams always struggled in New Zealand summers where 17 degrees Celsius is considered a nice day. By default, that makes this team hard-pressed to be good.
So we get what we have seen.

For caribbean folks thats cold. With wind chill its even cooler.
Technically he needs to work harder on his foot movement.
The current set of batsmen could do with Hooper or Haynes as the batting coach to help them out.
