Telling and makes for interesting viewing, only 4 teams have multiple bowlers in the top 20, so arguably the 4 best bowling teams in Test cricket

If only we could produce just one batsman in the top 20...Blackwood is the closest at 34, we need wholesale changes, Brathwaite, Campbell, Brooks, Bravo gotta go Chase can retain his place as a bowler, since he is WI fourth ranked behind Holder Roach and Gabriel.

Our selectors need to go. They have stunk up the place for years now and it is reflected in the standings of all 3 formats.
Frenism and insularity reigns in our cricket set up.
Racism is a factor in some cases. Certain boards are shunned in favor of other boards so when they get their "heads' out of their you know what and think CRICKET then we can move on up.
Picking a team on merit is all we ask but sometimes you scratch your head when they pick a squad.

Every time I read postings, I have to shake my head, because you guys live in fantasy land.
Dop every player and pick a player that had a good tournament, even if his First class average is about 25.
Are you aware that the last batsman with both a test average of 50 or more is Shiv?
Gayle has a test ave of 42.18 and a First class of 44.83
Sarwan test Ave 40.01 and a First Class of 38.52.
So continue believing dropping x, and replacing him with Y, we will start winning again, it is not going to happen.

Morbid team management..... Quinton as wicket keeper all rounder...SA promotes him at no.5.....Strokes bats at 5 or 6....Now Holder West Indies highest ranked batter is struck at no.8.....no inovation.... keep carrying extra batter , who never produce result......6 batters,1 all rounder,4 bowlers...loss by playing positive cricket....

Agree with you on Holder. Still some would rather he be dropped! Just have too many players who should not be playing as test batsmen. Problem is the replacements are worst.

Correct you are, no major improvement will happen.

But I guess I was motivated by some posts I'd been seeing blaming our bowlers and wanting the entire team to be thrown away, including bowlers.

We need batsmen, and we know the top 4 we have been trying for the past year is not it

No harm in trying other talent
