So what we have learned from the ODI's?

So what have we learned from the 2 played ODI? IMO, Bonner did not do enough so far to make the first Test team, DaSilva is not as good a batsman as we thought, his wicketkeeping needs improving, Ambris needs to adjust his technique if he wants to continue playing for the WI, Hosein has been a surprise and could be the spinner for the ODI's in the future, it was not a good idea to select Mohammed and McCarthy for the tour, the Selectors should have looked at the tour as an opportunity to invest by selecting young players who could give them returns in the future.

If you notice I said " so far " after two matches. I am hoping for improvements, in these times we all need entertainment.

We’ve learnt that most of these guys are second stringers (at best) for a reason

Phil needs to go. Why not play 5 Frontline bowlers?

Also Jason's cannot captain ODIs

Rovman Powell will retain his spot when the "big guns" return in both T20 and ODI

In reply to pariaman Rovman Powell, Akeal Hossein and Alzarri will play in the ODIs and be contenders for T20 also. Kyle Mayers may also be a contender

Well, with a completed ODI series, it proves that many fans on here knew more than what the Selectors and the coaches knew, that it was not a good idea to select McCarthy, Mohammed and Ottley could be added to that list. It's better to lose with young potential players than matured players with very little upside. Also better preparation should have been done, especially for these players.

Who is the "we"? Our players heads are too hard to learn anything. We NEVER learn. And the selectors are even more brain dead. You pick a team of spinners because you claim that this has been dictated by the conditions. Then you play one spinner and a ton of dibbly dobbly slow medium pacers. Then you change the batting line-up every game, showing that you have no plan.
Learn? Learn what?
