West Indies bowling legend Curtly Ambrose said that lack of interest shown by Cricket West Indies (CWI) prompted him to apply for the post of bowling coach at the England Cricket Board (ECB).

Previously, Ambrose had a coaching stint with West Indies when they won the 2016 T20 World Cup, but since then received a cold shoulder from CWI.

''Since I retired from international cricket like 20 years ago I have always made it known to Cricket West Indies as it is known now and even the local board here in Antigua I have let it known that I have learnt a lot during my playing days. And I want to very much like to give back to cricket. Whether it is here in Antigua, island or internationally I want to give back to cricket,'' said Ambrose.

Not totally relevant now since he had definitely raised his hand and expressed and interest to coach , but does anyone else remember that when he had just retired he said he would never be interested in coaching since he didnt have the patience to handle ( the hard headed ) west indian bowlers and he was more interested in doing music ?

Has CWI/WICB not engaged Ambrose as a bowling coach? What's he bawling about?

The stark Fact is that the People in the Worst International Cricket Board
in the Commonwealth ; aka WICBC , do
not respect Our Former Players .

They prefer to hire Persons from outside the Region . This assinine
behaviour is nothing new in West Indies
Cricket .

They prefer to hire former Players from outside the Region , to get a
nice tan and also a nice Salary .

This has been the modus operandi of
the WICBC/CWI for sometime . Most of
the time The People they hire have
nothing in common with our Players .

Yet the WICBC/CWI persist in this utter Stupidity . My recollection is
that in recent times , it was Our
Former Players who honed the skills
of Our Players to be the best in the
World in the shortest version of the
Game .

Yes WE are all well aware now that Stanford was and is a Crook . However
it was Our former Players who honed
and sharpened the Skills of Our Players to be the Best in the World in the shortest version of the Game .

Despite this freaking Fact , the Lords in the WICBC/CWI Persist in
hiring persons from outside the Region , who have absolutely NOTHING
in Common with Our Players .

Why was Curtly Ambrose not Hired ?????
Quite Frankly I have come to the conclusion that those in the WICBC/CWI
are steeped in a Nasty Mentality .

Those in the WICBC/CWI Think of themselves as being Lords , and Our
Players their Serfs . In essence , their modus operandi is that when Our
Players retire . They can never be hired to Coach Our Players .

They, in my opinion, do not want Our
Former Great Players , to help Our
Players . Never mind the freaking fact that in the shorter versions of
the game Our former Players harnessed
and honed the skills of Our Players .

Imagine an American Crook , with little knowledge about Cricket realized that Former Great Players
had the ability to make Our Players
the Best In the World .

Until this assinine belief that the
Jokers in the governance of West Indies Cricket come to the realization that THEY must hire Former Players to hone the Skills of
Our Players , WE aint going anywhere
in International Cricket .

It is very obvious that the WICBC/CWI
learned absolutely nothing from our
Former Great Players who harnessed and honed the talents of Our Players.

What is even worse , is the fact that
the WICBC/CWI many friends in the Media , also bluntly refuse to be
critical of their Masters in the WICBC/CWI .

If the goal is to make Our Players
fully competitive in International
Cricket . The must be very serious
Structural Changes in ALL aspects of West Indies .

It is always refreshing to read what Michael Holding writes , perhaps that
is due to the fact that He is not one
of the WICBC/CWI Stooges in the Media.

Such illustrious stalwarts of the past, and no one plays any part (or is allowed to play a part) in the development of the game in WI. What a shame. Wouldnt be a shocker if the BD series will be a white-wash for WI.
