This is disgraceful. I had hoped this board would have injected some sort of discipline and honor in West Indies Cricket but its an absolute failure.
We sink lower with every series and no one seems to care.

Without the $, clout or backing from the governing body, CWI may not really have any power to compel its best players for national duty, the way that a Big 3 nation or Pakistan can?
Edited to add: Yes there's a difference between covid fears and 'bubble fatigue', but the perception of players foregoing national duty and instead playing pro leagues isn't new.

CWI need to go with the flow. The players look good on these mercenary stints. They are in form. Yet they use their old laws to try to brace them into a corner to play for WI. Not happening..
Instead the CWI should ask the players on tour to join the touring team. Work with them to play both series.
The current squad in Bangla is mediocre. We are not going to be competitive neither win anything.
Look at the T10 games everyone contributing. Even Brandon hit 3 sixes last night. That is more than the WI hit in 2 ODI's.
This rule that you must play at home to be considered for selection is old. Throw it out.
Pick players on current form and merit.
Otherwise we we will have to go to the high schools for players.

Men playing more tournaments for other teams than for the WI. Then ignorant selectors picking them for big tournaments.
Allow players to play one tournament outside of WI duty each yr, their choice what competition they choose. If they can't do that don't expect to play anymore for the WI.

You can't make a stipulation dat will open you to a restraint of Trade case.
The ICC has to mandate dat players selected for international duty cannot opt out and still be eligible to play in a domestic competition around the same time,
My one question for CWI is what quarantine procedure if any is in place for players returning from the T10 to play in the Super 50.
