That was really really bad given the state of the game. As a matter of fact that looks really bad across all formats, conditions and game stage. He should pay a fine for that. Lose a portion of his match fee. Suppose the game was resting on his performance.

Imagine as the team's premier batsman you sat in the pavilion watching two lesser mortals fight their heart out for West Indies for the greater part of 5 hours. It was literally in the home stretch. Then it's your turn (after getting advice from Virat Kohli) to play a shot like this...basically auditioning for IPL.

I fully understand that Blackwood cannot bat but my word, give it a lil' fight nuh.

Jeez....Blackwood is a bajan according to opening. Campbell and Bobo / Kraigg are best of friends and Bonner went to the HPC in Bim and is well liked there.

Contrary to what goes on here JAs and Bajans get on well

Bonner, has a fairly decent technique but it's a stretch to call him a "reasonably good batsman."

Age is against him but I will pick him over Blackie any day. Blackie is a fake.

Frankie has one, and seem to have a good junior program.
A number of his student have toured England and South Africa already, with the Franklyn Stephenson Academy.

Mate, I was thinking about this: Coach Simmons spoke glowingly about the huge change in attitude of this new crop of players after the victory.

With the recklessness shown by Blackie (which of course is indisputable) how would this affect the positive newly found attitudinal change and how is the coach going to rid the team of this irresponsible batting by Blackie et al.

This seemingly impulsive behaviour appears to be engrained in Blackie.

Should the coach perform an immediate excision to prevent this sought attitude from permeating our newly minted committed fighters?

I firmly believe that "one bad apple can spoil the whole damn bunch."

He has been the main producer for WI in the last consecutive matches for WI, so he can be excused for one rash shot, it’s all part of the game of cricket.

I have to say though, that the coach got a reason to take this off his chest and it seems there remains some players "who are not students of the game."
