You mean how to eat with yuh hand?
IPL 2021 to date : Average 84
Batted 6 times and not out 5 times
SR 204
stats
I expect a ton from Hetty in this IPL
In reply to Narper
Not easy to get a ton at 4 and 5. Check Buttler now getting his first. Reason he has been up and down the order. Check and see that tons are the domain of 1 - 3
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
Yes, in T20 the frontline batsman have a greater chance of attaining triple digits! Not so for the middle order!
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
Good point...but who knows....maybe hr wii be sent in at #3 in a match
In reply to Narper
Not much chance. Even if they drop Smith, Pant will come at 3.
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
You should know by now to be careful with your prognostications
In reply to imusic
Did I predict Poor Ann's predicament?
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
MAAAN
Dat was below de belt!!!!
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
Today was Hetty's day, his fielding was outstanding.
Pooran and Hetty should not be selected for any other format, until they have played and performed in 50 overs and 4-day tournaments.
I consider both of these players to be power hitters, even though they both can bat.
The willingness to hit the ball instead of stroking the ball is good, when playing 20 overs cricket, not so for the longer formats.

R U saying that Hetty has not played and performed in 50 over cricket?
Maybe this one
Or this one
Or this one
Or this one
Or this one
How about this one
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
I didnt say voresque
In reply to Dukes
What percentage of innings are you listing?
Hetty started as a youngster who can bat, what the 20 overs format has done, is to change him into a power hitter.
How many times has he walked to the wicket in the last 3 years, then to be back in the pavilion, facing less than 20 balls?
I am a fan of players that understand T20, knowing it is what it is.
Thats why most of them play only T20 cricket.
In reply to Dukes
I knew your links would show early data, the last one was one score in 2021.
Can you provide 2019 and 2020 data also.
Roger Harper told us, Hetty seem to like watching others bat.

So Pooran was WI tournament top scorer and century maker against Sri Lanka in the 2019 ICC World Cup by fluke.
You are so pedantic
In reply to openning
As I music pointed out
Why don't you produce 3 WI players with better recent performances than Hetty and Pooran in 50 over cricket.
In reply to Dukes
I know the answer
Shai, Diego and Hope
In reply to imusic
I don't have to look at the data, that would tell CWI had a dreadful tournament, with Pooran being the best of the failures.
Had any of these youngsters batted CWI to a winning position, my eyes would be open.
You and doc should understand, I am from a CWI home of the 3 W's, Sir Gary, Rohan, GG, Haynes, Viv, Richie.
With Seymour, Basil and player who played supporting roles, Like Joe Solly and Larry G.
Don't bring such players to me, I've been a Windies cricket fan for too long.

The problem is right there.Nobody looks at the data.People form opinions based on feelings rather than facts.that is why you are likely to be wrong in the majority of cases.
YOU NEVER LOOK AT DATA.
In reply to Dukes
Bro, I have produced on this board historical data of Kraigg Brathwaite, I continue to use it as a reference.
Telling posters I expect, a couple triples, a few more doubles and more tons.
Scoring tons is in Kraigg's DNA.
I always state he should move away from the amateur coaching and management level, and surround himself with pros.
In reply to Curtis
Fingers not hand.
