ST JOHN’S, Antigua – The Cricket West Indies (CWI) Selection Panel announced the West Indies squad for the CG Insurance One-Day International (ODI) Series against Australia. The squad features most of the players from the 3-0 clean sweep over Sri Lanka in the CG Insurance ODI Series earlier this year.

There are recalls for experienced left-arm fast bowler Sheldon Cottrell; Shimron Hetmyer, the left-handed top-order batsman; and Roston Chase, the right-handed all-rounder.

The CG Insurance ODI Series will be played at Kensington Oval in Barbados on July 20, 22 and 24 with all three matches scheduled as day/night encounters. First ball is 2:30pm (1:30pm Jamaica Time). There is great anticipation as this is Australia’s first tour of the West Indies since the tri-nation series back in 2016.

Very Good Question , but I aint surprised . This is the normal Modus
Operandi of the Jokers !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have absolutely no doubt that there
aint going to be many, who populate this Forum, enquiring about Mc Coy.

He aint from Trinidad & Tobago , Barbados ; Guyana ; or Jamaica . So in this Forum , there aint going to be much query regarding Mc Coy .

I am not surprised , this is the normal modus operandi of the People in WICBC/CWI . C'est La Vie !!!!!!!

Hety made the ODI team too?

He is getting opportunities. It would be great to seem him make the best of them now.

McCoy's omission seems surprising, if the strategy is to build for the future.

I SIMPLY WANT PLAYERS SELECTED BY

BY THEIR PERFORMANCES .

This B.S has been going on for many
years . So I am not surprised . I unfortunately expected that the people in the WICBC/CWI would change
their Modus Operandi .

This apparently indicates that Players from the Windward Islands are far below the Standard , that is
required to be selected to represent the West Indies in Cricket .

" THE MORE THINGS CHANGE, THE

MORE THEY REMAIN THE SAME ".

Was he dropped?

He was not among those named , so it is
obvious , at least to me, that He was
not selected .

This aint the first time that Players
from the Windward Islands have been
discarded . I seriously believe that
this aint going to be the last time .

APPARENTLY THE STANDARD OF PLAYERS

FROM THE WINDWARD ISLANDS IS BELOW

WHAT IS REQUIRED TO REPRESENT THE

WEST INDIES IN CRICKET .

I do not subscribe to that Idiotic
perspective !!!!!!!!

Hold alyuh horses peeps. The squad is only 15. When McCoy was selected others were left out too ...

In reply to Kay

In my opinion , there is an inherent
bias against Players from the Windward
Islands .

What is worse is that this aint something new . It is the Modus Operandi of the Worst International
Cricket Board in the Commonwealth, aka the WICBC/CWI .

The Selectors will justify McKoy omission by asking the question, when last has McKoy played a fifty over game in the Caribbean? He has had injuries over the last few years that prevented him from playing in the one day competitions
