Ok so he says this wasn't the best wickets for white ball cricket. Maybe it was so. But this leaves a lot of questions unanswered. For example
Why did you bat first after winning the toss in the final ODI?

Pollard putting his foot in his mouth
In reply to InHindsight
He was right. The fact that the pitch is a sham is not a lie.
Kensington was known for its pace not a spinner's paradise and slowness.
They Pollard and co lie true pitches with the ball coming on to the bat.
That pitch was far from that hence we lost.
In reply to rillo
Didn't we win on the same pitch 2 days earlier?
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
The discussion is about the wickets at Kensington oval, it has nothing as far as I am concern, to do with winning or losing.

that is not true, star. if the WI had won this series the condition of the pitch would have been by the way.
let me ask you this, if this pitch was a good pitch (whatever that means) would WI have won?
why is it that OZ who are accustomed to playing on bouncy fast pitches could adjust to this one and not us who play on these bad pitches all the time?
In reply to sudden
Who won has nothing to do with my writing about the pitch condition.
I would have no problem if the West Indies had prepared a pitch to favour the team selected, that's what happens all the time.
Have a look at Shai Hope delivery that got him out, there was an explosion of dust, when the ball hit the surface.
In reply to openning
nonsense. fool yourself if you like.
and if you want to complain about the pitch so be it but dont use how WIndians got out to prove it.
Australia played on the same pitch.
good players adjust to the conditions and no batsman walks around with a pitch in his back pocket. you bat the pitch you are on.
simple.
if the pitch was fast and bouncy, do you really think WI would have stood a chance? man piss in muh pocket
WE CANT BAT PACE>>WE CANT BAT SPIN>> WE CANT BAT DONKEY DROPS>>
WE CANT BAT ON FAST TRACKS<SLOW TRACKS OR DUSTY TRACKS>>>>
Has it not occurred to the populace at large that
CRICKET IS NOT OUR GAME???
Actually the decline started when we stopped selecting BATSMEN and opted for BATTERS..

And Hitters
In reply to rillo
the pitch was ridiculous. Australia has better batting than us. No queries about that. But when balls are keeping low in ODI matches like if you were playing on a 5th day wicket, then questions must be asked. You can even get better ODI wickets in Zimbabwe and Bangladesh

Some still believe that playing cricket in gulleys, road and beaches are what needed today, I think differently.
I've followed Australia development structure since 1976.
If you lived in Guyana, and had a child playing cricket at the regional level at age thirteen, the entire cricketing world will have files on his flaws and strength.
It is working with youngsters having structures to make our cricketers the best they can be, is what needed.
WI need to stop making excuses for defeat.
Bad pitches invariably occur from time to time.
Would have been better if he accepted that the better team won

Hopefully he has a big foot, because that mouth is certainly cavernous. A Big Mouth if I may.

And in Tits land too.

Why did you bat first after winning the toss in the final ODI?
And you won the previous game chasing. On these types of pitches, its psychologically beneficial to chase, setting a score most often requires taking more undue risks .
In reply to InHindsight
I agree because the two teams played on the same wicket.
Excuses don't count in the big leagues, we're brainless in our approach, for example, Aus. recognized the nature of the pitch and played an extra spinner and what did we do?
We dropped a spinning option to play Hety because the next venue is Guyana.

Dont let the tits hear that
