Angel Gabriel was always like a javelin thrower attempting to bowl pace. There were no subtleties or craft in his bowling, just a big muscular man hurling the ball and hoping to land it correctly and beat you with pace. He was also grossly unfit and with his pace towards the end of an innings could even trouble a tailender.
Now enter Seales. Early in his career, he is able to move the ball consistently away from the bat...something which is so difficult for a newbie fast bowler.
His bowling body position is excellent and that right shoulder comes from almost 180 degrees to the batsman at the point of release enabling that ball to move away even as his action seem to want the ball to move in. This ability will serve him in good stead moving forward.
O. Thomas is following the same development track as Gabriel and someone should step in quickly to assist the young man. Pace by itself does not trouble many batsmen. It's the nuances...art.
Remember Uton Dowe and Sunil Gavaskar..."Thou shall not bowl fast."
Tino Best was a lesser version of Uton Dowe.
Lession here: Pace is fine but it has to be accompanied by the subtleties which we call art.
Brutally honest.

We wasted a lot of time on a robot pace bowler.

He needs to move it into the batsman too. Otherwise anything pitched on off will be left alone and he will find himself bowling middle and leg and getting clipped away or bowling short and getting pulled.
Has started well nevertheless

I agree. That easy for him to achieve.
What is even more important is the appearance of wanting to get the ball to come in and with his bowling action, the late straightening of the ball.
With his action he can release the ball early and it will go in...release late, it will straighten or move away. Wrist position is also important (less so) in achieving the results.
That is achieved with an even more pronounced shoulder rotation.

If Seales understands what he is doing right now (I hope he does) he will be very successful.
I'd like to see a slimmer mid section though.

Wait you looking for Adonis
In reply to sudden
No. There was a camera angle I saw yesterday which hinted at some fat in the mid section. I am only hoping that I am wrong and that he truly has a six pack. But he is built like a Ford 150 engine and can only get better with a few tweeks.
Another lesson is: selectors must be knowledgeable about such matters. We wasted too much time on Angel Gabriel when it was clear that he was at the point of diminishing returns many moons ago.
I am happy that Seales has leapfrogged over A. Joseph. Seales has far greater potential.
Mayers must be persisted but he must work on being metronomic. He can be emplyed to stifle an end but he also has the skills to take wickets.

There is a lot of upside to Joseph if he improves his length and line and works on moving the ball.
Man, even Mayers the trundler is more accurate and moves it both ways
In reply to Courtesy
He (Jayden Seales) has pace and has the ability to move the ball. He works hard and asks a lot of questions and probably a legend in the making. He listens well and is learning everyday, and I think we are in for a special treat. On this wicket there is not much movement and the bounce is consistent and we tried to challenge the batsmen on fuller lengths to get some movement and be consistent at that.

Alzari reminds me of some slow learners. I hope he works hard at his bowling which is what he is on the side to eecute.
Mayers has already occupied the all rounders position (plus big Jase) so he needs to work on his main skill.

Thanks Narper. I concur wholeheartedly with Kemar.
Seales is a very good find and I am happy that he was selected to play ahead of Joseph. Competion though, is healthy for development.

Seales is barely past 19. Couldnt you hail the arrival of the youth without slamming Gabriel
In reply to Logic
No. If you believe in mediocrity, I don't.
Gabriel had sufficient time to get it right. He didn't and this is the typical of a rank shithound.
Sorry, an arrogant man as Discourtesy needs no advice or suggestions from you.
I only follow or take advice from my Overself.

The Joseph in the one dayers was a far improved cricketer all round.
