Andre Fletcher | Saint Lucia Kings captain:
We are going to have a bat first. We played against them twice, the game we won we batted first. We want to play to our strengths. I would try my best to give my team the best start I can. We have one change. Samit Patel out.

We were prepared to do anything. Well done to the guys for getting here. We'll try to fo the basics well. Couple of changes. Isuru misses out, Narine comes in. Seales misses out and Khary Pierre comes back in.

Pitch Report | Danny Morrison and Daren Ganga:
The pitch is looking good, same as the one used for the triple headers. Less grass and it's a surface that's very hard. Will be good for batting. The wicket-taking success has diminished for the seamers

Akeal Hosein:
We approach every game as it's a knockout. Lots of teams were fighting for the top spot, our mindset is we play every game as a final. (2020 vs 2021) Same mindset, my job is to bowl tight overs in the powerplay, I don't focus too much on taking wickets. Our trainer staff tell us to warm up properly.

Keemo Paul:
I was getting mentally prepared for the big game. Those were very some nervy moments seeing Greeny hit those balls (Jamaica Tallawahs vs Guyana Amazon Warriors), it was very nervy. Was a really moment (GAW's win), got into the semis. For me, it's bot been the best of seasons. I am getting the support from coaches, Sammy is motivating me and the guys are backing me. I want to improve my batting and I want to win more games with the bat. I think today is my day. Today's a grudge match, we are very motivated for this. The guys are all pumped and ready to go.

What I like about TKR is that they're the only team with a majority of home players...you need to have that home-base core, IMHO, or you end up losing your identity.

It's been a super turnaround for defending champions Knight Riders who overcame a sluggish start to motor on to the top spot. The Kings would've loved to be a bit more consistent, but did enough in the end. In the two league-stage fixtures between the two teams this season, the Kings won 1, Knight Riders won 1, so it's all to play for, especially since there are no "second chances" like playoffs. Remember, it's a semi-final: you lose, you go home.
For the Kings to set themselves up with their best XI, they would want Faf du Plessis fit and roaring. He's been in terrific batting form, but injuries have seen him either not take the field or not play at all in recent past.

o Simmons, out Caught by Fletcher!! Edged and caught! A fancy shot and it makies Simmons look silly as he walks back to the hut - on a good length and well wide of off, Simmons went a long way across on the paddle scoop - was through with the shot even before the ball arrived, it catches a big edge and Fletcher does the rest. Ideal start to the Kings as they defend 205.

Tornado watches line parts of southern Ontario amid today's storm threat
The warm front will continue to allow instability to build during the day Tuesday, especially near the shores of Lake Huron and Georgian Bay, as a low-pressure system cuts across the Great Lakes. A tornado watch lined the region ahead of the lunch hour warning of the favourable conditions, which could produce tornadoes.
"This is a dangerous and potentially life-threatening situation. Be prepared for severe weather. Take cover immediately, if threatening weather approaches," says Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) in the tornado watch.

Wahab Riaz to Seifert, OUT
Tries the yorker, ends up as another full toss wider outside off stump. Looks for the big shot, but it's been sliced in the air. Easy one for long off to gobble up. Ramdin out for a 26-ball 29

How can we have a 2021 CPL final without the Trinis?

Exactly! I could never chose one player over a team (franchise) who represents my country. That is why when Bravo Patriots lose they end up empty handed

Saint Lucia Kings have taken out TKR - the team that denied them the trophy last time - to book their place in the final. They've done it without Faf du Plessis. What an effort this has been.

Andre Fletcher, winning captain: "We really want to go over the line this season. Deyal took the attack to them, and that set them back. We knew they were flat and I told him not to give up. I did not get the runs I wanted. When I got out, I was praying that the other batters can take us through. In the time out, Sammy said we were doing well and that we just need to get the run rate back a bit. The most important thing we tried to do was get the run-rate as high as we could before Pollard would come in. I'm humble, I'm happy. Happy knowing coaching staff believe in me and the players hav faith in me. Want to win the championship"

David Wiese | Player of the Match -
We got tied down in the middle, with the spinners holding their way. So, we (himself and Tim David) had to go hard in the last few overs, thankfully, the bowlers lost their line a bit and we cashed in. Unbelievable (on his 5-wicket haul), sometimes it does work out. Everyone bowled well and I got the wickets today, that's how the game goes. We tried to keep it out of his hitting zone (on Pollard), sometimes such things work out. We're enjoying it at the moment and making it to the final is a great achievement

Pollard:
Good pitch. They came out positive right from the toss. Have to give them credit. They were the better team. Proud of the boys and the way they fought. Throughout the tournament the guys have been fantastic. Well played to the opposition. A lot of people around the world would've loved to see the back of us, and there you have it. Ravi Rampaul coming back to the CPL and bowling well, Akeal Hosein bowled well for us. These things happen and we have to accept it. Will sit back and watch the final tomorrow, and may the best team win.

Fletcher:
Great feeling. Last year we got to the final but couldn't get over the line. This year we wanted to get back there, prove it wasn't a fluke. Mark played very well. That set them back. I was encouraging him, saying to trust his ability. We knew it wasn't over. Most important thing was to take the rate as high as possible before Pollard comes in. I'm humble knowing the coaching staff believe in me, and that I have the support of the players.
