Whew, while we wait for the presentation, worth mentioning what Bravo said at the toss - that he moved to Patriots to challenge himself. And here he is, a fifth CPL title in hand in his 500th T20 game. At no point has this career ever trended downwards in this format - a true claim for the title of greatest ever T20 player. Top three at the very least. We'll hear from him shortly at the presentation.
I never really considered D Bravo as the greatest t20 player of all time, or even the greatest west indies t20 player. Who would you rank as the GOAT.
Looking only at west indians I would put Gayle as the greatest T20 batsman of all time. Narine is the greatest west indian t20 bowler. Maybe Bravo does deserve consideration alongside Pollard.

Bravo tops Polly he is the greatest T20 ALL-ROUNDER Fullstop. It is not that his batting fell off but that in such a short format having concentrated more on his bowling there were less opportunities to bat and when they were he never had to dig deep and prioritize.

purrrrleeeese. DJ is in the all rounder category and Pollard is a batsman who can bowl a bit. you would want DJ with the ball but Pollard with the bat on your team. Both are great fielders with DJ, in his prime, better covering ground while Pollard is actually a fantastic slipper. Both are good captains but DJ has shown this season how he can motivate the young players so that gives him an edge in 2021. Pollard motivated two squads in 2020 not to lose a single match in two competitions. Honours even I think.

DJ Bravo by far!!! Never thought of him as a leader but watching what he's done these last few months in teaching and inspiring the youngsters has put him above everyone else!!!
The self proclaimed Universe Ass is no doubt the best batsman there probably will ever be in this format but is tainting his legacy by not retiring!!!

The stats showed a few months ago the worth of Polly in IPL - he was the MVP
Who has more CPL rings?
Id say Polly is more valuable overall
Bravo is valuable now because of his mentorship
They are both serial winners

Its now accepted (?) that Narine pelted Pooran that maiden super over
And pelted KKR to two titles
So for me its a bit tainted
That leaves Badree, Rampaul, Bravo
Badree takes that?

C H Gayle is greatest T20 batsman
DJ Bravo the great T20 bowler
K Pollard currently the number one T20 batsman/finisher (arguably)

I still keeping it as Narine. After Narine Ill put badree. I like Ravi nut he was not as great a pp bowler as badree or death bowler as bravo or wicket taker as Narine.

DJ is the Sobers of T20 cricket in his all round abilities, added to this, his leadership is second to none in WI, that is the reason he is the Greatest T20 player of all time. He redefined T20 from what it was initially to what it is today....Years down the road, after his career is over, then folks will really understand his value to this format...but then again I am a suffering Warrior fan!
He is also one of our best cricketer that did not get to maximize his fullest potential due to cricket politics that continue to hurt our growth up to this day!

Daz some strong words.

Anyone knows if Sobers was as revered in his time as he is in later times?

Kohli still active so maybe one day he may be regarded as a greater t20 batsman than Gayle, and as great as ABD is you are one of the only few who put him above Gayle

Murali was pelting throughout his career, and his action was as blatantly clear to see in normal speed, why do some feel it's necessary to taint Narine. The last time Narine was supposed to bowl a suspect ball,it turned out that there was absolutely no suspect ball in his 4 overs,Umpires were trying to make a name for themselves.

Murali had a legitimate excuse. His bowling arm was (naturally) crooked.
Remember Jermaine Lawson? He never suffered any like crookedness, so he was sent on his way.
