Holder player of the match 3/19 from 4 overs and 47 from 29 balls .
I predicted that Holder might embarrass the Wi selectors at IPL but warned that we Must remember that he was not in many of us sheet to go to the World Cup.

Who was captain of the Barbados Tridents during the last CPL? Holder had a mediocre CPL by his lofty standards. But so did others who still made the 15-man T20 WC squad.
Then there is the issue of some people making the WC squad with the aid of medical exemptions while others were disqualified due to failed fitness tests.

Never got him past the reserves, but his T20 stats this season captaining vs not captaining is chalk to cheese!

I am not a Jason Holder hater. I agree that for test match cricket he is one of the first names on the sheet. However his T 20 performances both for the WI as well as both CPL and IPL meant a place could not be found for him. 1-5 are batsmen, 6-9 are all-rounders= Pollard,Russell,Allen and Bravo
#10/11 are bowlers Rampaul and McCoy.
We need an out and out FAST BOWLER=Oshane who has won white ball games for the WI.
With England and Australia in our group we had to pick the wrist spinner.
I heard the argument that Jason deserved the place ahead of Rampaul but if you check their T 20 Internationals Rampaul has a superior Power Play record.
Rampaul had an outstanding CPL and has much better T 20 performances than Jason with the ball.
I am not in agreement with his medical exemption and he,like Gayle will have to be carefully placed in the field.
