Who is the greatest batsman of all time.Without question the genius that was Australian Don Bradman. The man's stats defy belief looking up the archives.Played 52 tests..test average 99.94...6996 runs in tests. His astonishing career was interrupted by World 2 and could have reached even greater heights.234 first class matches 28067 runs..average 95.1 (1927-49).He died in 2001 in his 90s.We take a bow.The Don was the best.

Nah.....don played before professionalism and the advent of any of the major innovations in the game(reverse swing, the west indian quartet of hell fire pace). Also, considering he played in a time of home umpires and no television coverage, and it being Australia, those numbers must be inflated by decisions which should have but were not given., We always talk about it being impossible for Javed Miandad to be given out in pakistan lbw, im sure its similar for don. Umpires in Australia cheated well into the 90s so you can imagine how it was in the 30s.

Greatest BNatsmen for me
1. Viv Richards
2. Garfield Sobers and Brian Lara
3. Sunil Gavasklar
4. Sachin Tendulkar and Gregg Chappell

And all he did was score two triple tons, the same as our own Christopher Henry Gayle, the self acclaimed Universe Boss.

Ok, we know he narrowly missed a third with that 299 not out at home against the Saffies.

So Gayle it is then.

Not quite. Just suggesting that he's in the same exclusive club.

And Bradman only averaged twice as much as Gayle. I could understand the comparison! lol lol

But that was not the question from the OP.

Bradman was white and therefore inherently benefitted from institutional advantages of his race.

I'm known for (conveniently) going off on a tangent sometimes.

I'm not an average person, Stumpy.

If you are, so be it.

I see you're focused on the negative. I'm not.
