At 52 for 6, maybe it take a longer time for WI Test team to reorient to the Sri Lankan conditions or we still have not learnt how to build an innings or support a partnership.
I think Jamaica is contemplating restarting grassroot cricket among the very young, that might be the way to go each island, with cricket academys in every region, now I am completely void of ideas as to advance WI cricket.

"Hopeless" WI Team but fans Keep Hope Alive
In reply to Slipfeeler
It has to start at the grassroots level. If you look at your U19 teams, you would see that there is a wealth of talent. The W.I U19 teams that have represented the region in World Cups have always given a good account of themselves. We have gotten to a final already and won in 2016. However, after this level is where we start to see a decline. This is the area that needs to be looked at.

Grassroots cricket is the way to go, imagine an inter-island grassroots competition, think about the wealth of experience and potential for growth among those young cricketers?

You seem to have short memory, we won the U19 championship not too long ago, and has been competing at that level for sometime.
Our problem is improvement after leaving that age group.
