Guys take the WI selectors jobs because they need work and not because it gives them an opportunity to mold a team in their vision. They can't or won't demand independence and ended up implementing someone's vision only to be blamed when things fail.

This is all to siggest that Roger Harper is not his own man, dances to other peoples tunes, and he was not in agreement with most if not all of the selections to the teams.

His selection policy was made of picking players that if failed the public could easily say ‘ I told you so’ The players he put his faith in,
truly let him down.

Looking in from the outside he never appeared to be in charge or independently thinking..
A schoolboy would not consider some of the picks that was presented and he endorsed..
