The Catching is STUPENDOUS!!
Oh to be that agile again
Nine down 83/9
Rivaldo Clarke looks really sharp behind the stumps to all these spinners. I know he is a really good batsman also. One for the near very near future.
In reply to seaegg99
Clarke looks better than Hope, DaSilva and Dowrich
In reply to Walco
Been a while since I see a WI keeper handle spin like this.
Todays performance in the field is completely different from the one we saw against Australia. I like McKenny Clarke... He gets good bounce and has good pace too.
In reply to seaegg99
Great footwork, especially down the legside
Aussies 123/6 off 36 overs. The group is getting interesting.
I thought it would be between WI and SL for the second spot in the group. Looks like it would be a 3 way contest If WI can beat SL
Another wonderful fielding from the boundary. Scotland end their Innings at 95
In reply to Pacy
I hope they get the pacers on a good strength program and get their bodies stronger.
[Run out - brilliant throw Sankar again
95/10

Top Stuff
Remember now no one likes to 'loss'
In reply to seaegg99
So do I
looks like there is something to work with
that includes the Bajan lad Layne not playing in this game today.
In reply to seaegg99
Exactly. All 3 pacers showed promise this match. May be assigning them a mentor and developmental plan to ensure that they develop from here.
In reply to seaegg99
Have to agree

This process I just cannot understand the boards thinking on developing the youths. You have proven models and the interaction is so limited.
We see every year at this time that we are one of the top teams yet the transition to the pro level stinks. The youths do not get better because of lacking player development skills of coaching staffs around the region. Just look at the bodies of our players and top teams players.

I agree that after the U19 level, things tend to go downhill. This U19 team is nowhere near to being as strong as those in the past. Something needs to be done going forward.
I see the youngsters also have a problem with rotating the strike.
We need to speed up dis run chase. Net Run Rate may be crucial in deciding who goes to the Super League and who plays in the Plate
In reply to Maispwi
We need to win the game first. We just lost the set batter.
In reply to Windiesfan78
The problem with these youngsters, they cannot get the weight on the front foot, they need to get to the pitch of the ball instead of poking from the crease..
Transferring weight to the back foot is good, ,I wish it was the same for the front foot.
Time fi look players to "slow track" fi big man team.
In the Group WI is in, RR could play an important part in the eventual qualification. We should try to achieve the score as soon as we can. I am not sure if the kids realise that
In reply to openning
Yes
its a real issue
playing from the crease always leads to problems particularly on a pitch doing something.
VICTORY!!
This fella Bishops temperament is excellent
In reply to Windiesfan78
Unfortunately, after losing the first match in a four team group, your scoring rate becomes as equally important as winning in the remaining matches

Clairmonte Depeiaza was my first coach, we spent numerous saturday mornings at Wesley Hall Primary.
Thats where I met David Murray.
Another Depeiaza in Barbados cricket.
Clinical win dat
In reply to Maispwi
Correct
Sri Lanka just beat Australia so WI have to beat them to be certain of advancing to the Super League
In reply to Maispwi
Its going to be tough. Sri Lanka looks a step above Oz..
In reply to openning
I was pleased Fazeer asked the question about his family connections
In reply to Chrissy
