West Indies’ batting failures in their One-Day International series against Ireland should prompt changes in the coaching staff, according to one former selector.

In those matches, the Windies failed to bat out their full 50 overs and in the second and third ODIs they mustered totals of 229 and 212 respectively. And according to former Trinidad and Tobago Red Force chairman of selectors Tony Gray, batting coach Monty Desai must take responsibility.

Dessie was always better suited to being a coach in the nets, than a suit and tie upstairs charged with picking people that he could have helped with their technique and approach

Once again. Haynes and Sarwan have just been appointed, not even an entire month. The amount of moving parts techniques in that team requires an extended period.

As selectors dey cannot be seen to be favouring one set of persons over another so dey wud have to be offering advice to all and sundry. And its highly unlikely dat coaching forms part of dere remit

It seems to me that there is some confusion.Apparently the author of this article thinks that Haynes and Sarwan should be batting coach and assistant batting coach for the West Indies team.If he thinks so then he should say so.
