They sang it in Australia during the ashes, so what's the difference.
This is a club, where people pay money to see their country play cricket around the world.
Why now ask Ragg, where is the Black West Indies English Possee.

most of them of last two generations would be singing along.

In reply to openning Australia is a Monarchy whose head of State is the British Queen. BIM is a proud Republic. Pity a test isn't being played in the ever Loyal Monarchy of Jamaica where they could really Belt out in no uncertain manner" GAWD SAVE THE QUEEN." A tell you, fi we political leaders are something else.

The Barmy army will sing where ever they go.

I stayed at an All inclusive in Barbados when they was there, the group party every evening.
The Package is not only for matches and hotel fees, it also include transportation to and from the grounds, lunch and snacks.
Everyone that get on the bus to the game, has a package lunch.
The Barmy Army is a club.

The Barmy Army is a club.

In which you’re an adoring member? cool

In reply to openning I fully understand what the Barmy army is all about. I just took the opportunity to let off some steam regarding the behaviour of my country's politicans in allowing after 60 yrs the British Queen to remain head of state of Jamaica. The country of Garvey and a pioneer of Pan Africanism.

Credit has to be given to the Prime minister of Barbados, I did not see that happening in my life time.

I dont, but I am aware there was talk.
Talk is one thing, being bold to go forward and get it done is another.
Calgary is not like New York or Toronto, very few Barbadians or West Indians live here, even though the Caribbean populations is much larger than 1970.
BTW, on my mother home in Bim, there is a large photo of Mia, which I threatened to take down, during the nineties, my mom diid not mix words, letting me know it is her house and her photo.

During the ashes, Ian Chappell, on radio was saying that only the british National anthem is referring to one person. The rest of the world National anthem is to their land/country. When I thought of it, it is true.
