it's hard to critisize on such a flat pitch but they where some obvious things permaul bowled better but he still posed nowhere the threat of jack leach on a worn pitch and joseph still can't bowl consistantly on line or length to much half volleys and half trackers i expect permaul to play in grenada but maybe anderson phillip may make his debut for joseph

permaul and joseph wi weak bowling links
In reply to velo
I would use chase as the spinner. He offers some batting and cannot do worse in the bowling department. I also would replace Joseph with the pacer from Trinidad

is what really is happen with yall memory
joseph is the only bowler we got that can touch 90mph, he has the same amount for wickets as seals and roach, with a better strike rate than roach
he was lauded for his line and length in the first match second innings for his marathon spell without loosing speed, and you want drop him, for a debutant who is slower
In reply to conmanwell i don't know what match you were watching but joseph was the most expensive fast bowler for the windies in the second test the only one that went for over a 100 runs at 4 runs a over in the first innings and was flayed in the second at 7 runs a over plus he has a poor record for a frontline bowler it' good to got pace but you have to have other things as well i like the guy but the facts are facts

Why u ready to crucify our fastest bowler in the region... Does not make sense.
Joseph and permaul are no threat.
At no time during the match while they bowling did it look like they were going to take a wicket.

The wicket is barren. If u'd listened to Brit commies, that was their conclusion... Stoke tried bowling bouncers to no-avail.. The ball died the moment it made impact on the pitch...
What about the Angel our fastest bowler . He will drive some fears in the English batsmen .

dey need to focus on those pitches.......fire the curators

Angel is probably my fav bowler but with the new over rate rule, i cant see him playing again, he just bowls his overs to damn slow

Yet they took even and five respectively.
Aljo is a natural whipping post for many on this board. Kick him to the curb, he is useless. Yet the announcers and analyst still sees something that we, keyboard trolls, do not. Hopefully he does not
read these negativities.
[b]In reply to Cricket_101[/ nobody is crucifying him these are facts and talking like if this man has been performing especially well the man averages over 40 per wicket and a strike rate of 70 something does not even have a five wicket haul in twenty matches and we should play him because he bowls fast and all over the place ,he is giving me nixon mclean vibes that ain't good
In reply to velo
Therefore he needs to be coached and not criticize... We've a young man with tremendous potential whom is performing under his capability because of the system...

Are they Curators or grounds men?

and get minimum wages...you get what you pay for...
these guys try their best with best intentions....but they absolutely do not have the education, training and experience....to produce pitches for international cricket.

Ding-ding-ding
Perhaps if the coaches were not one dimensional, they would be of more help to Joseph. Their methods do not work for every player. That is why advancement is slow. Oh, it time they stop using as a stock bowler. Give him the new ball.

Grounds-men clear debris etc.., Curator manages the ground...
