Strange tactics by management

Winning gets 10 points..,but we happy being competitive... strange tactics employed by management...
1.Opening batting and bowling with Mayers. He was very expensive in first match.5 oversbowled 39 runs in 1dt match...3 overs 24 runs this match.Chances of Mayers succeeding as opener against top sides like India, Pakistan, England or Australia, with bat, very low.
2.Why play Shepherd, when only 4 overs he bowls... better play a batter.
3.Seales one of the best bowler in the 1st match rested.
4.Phillip plays.
5.Keemo flew all the way from Caribbean on to warm bench.
6. It looks like team management experimenting, for upcoming white ball series in Caribbean, while losing vital points for automatic qualification.

Not sure why you picking on Mayers. Relative to our recent batting performances Mayers had a good knock.

As to his opening the bowling I agree that Keemo Paul should have played but in his absence Mayers is one of the few that swings the new ball. He just did not execute but even so could have a wicket in first over if we had another slip in

Mayers is useful because he is left handed and attacking. In the absence of Even Lewis he will keep the scoreboard ticking over especially as Shai sometime takes a while to get going.Kyle is the best person available to open the batting. In terms of bowling he is part of our "5th bowler" and the earlier you get his overs out of the way the better.Sometimes opening batsmen tend to want a few overs to look.

2.Why play Shepherd, when only 4 overs he bowls... better play a batter.

Shep always tries his best and is no worse than the other mediocre fast medium bowlers.Sure he got clobbered yesterday in the death overs but apart from Joseph can you confidently expect the others to not get clobbered? we do not have CURRENTLY AVAILABLE any other batter who can play an effective match winning knock.Carty is still with his training wheels.Particularly in this tremendous heat you need an extra fast bowler.I expect Seales to return and Alzharry to rest for the 3rd ODI so he can be fresh for the test match next week.
3.Seales one of the best bowler in the 1st match rested.

See above
4.Phillip plays.

He needs to be playing and getting experience as one of our up and coming fast bowlers. He did bowl a few above 1`40 clicks and he is learning on the job.
5.Keemo flew all the way from Caribbean on to warm bench.

Keemo only arrived in the early morning of the first ODI so needs a few days to adjust in terms of jet lag etc.He should be an option for the match on Sunday
6. It looks like team management experimenting, for upcoming white ball series in Caribbean, while losing vital points for automatic qualification.

IOf we sneak the game on Sunday we will be in good shape for automatic qualification.

West Indies played 5 specialist bowlers, Joseph, Phillip, Shepherd fast bowlers and 2 Spinners Akeal & Walsh..He was 6th bowler , used by management as opening bowler, when only 2 fielders outside circle. Red ball cricket is totally different, where Mayers has succeeded.Duke ball and seaming conditions. Subcontinent, placid dry
pitch...extreme pace and spin works. Even in test, Mayers bowls 1st change.

2 & 3

Although, Shepherd conceded 70 odd runs in 1st ODI...first 7 overs costed only 30 runs...last 2 overs, produced 40 runs as kushdil went after him...this has happened to the best bowlers....in this match his 4 overs produced 17 runs...why not play specialist batter...Carty, showed good temperament , let him learn on the road.Powell already in team to bowl 4-5 overs as cover for faster men in extreme heat.

Carty can't play because still in training wheels...and Phillip plays because he is still in training wheels..two newcomers...two yardstick for selection.

In 3 match series, acclimatisation.....in today's era.. concept wierd...players flying out from cold English weather...playing in IPL, very next day in hot tropical condition.. players playing league cricket all around world..... West Indies team management & your thinking out of sync with modern cricket, if at all, this is the reason for not playing Keemo.

Hopefully....
Management thinking out of sync with modern cricket.... Strange...a mild word...
Sadly, they find many backers in rumshop....
