"Building a winning team starts with a cultural shift, firstly with team fitness. The victories may be sporadic initially, but patience is the key", stressed team officials. "Our aim is Fit First, Win Second. FFWS".
"The players' BMI (body mass index) target is between 19 and 21. While there were exceptions in the recent past, team management stresses that past anomalies were due to a malfunctioning scale at team headquarters in Antigua.
Administrators misread the readings for pounds while the measurements were in kilograms".

There are no weight discrimination laws in the Caribbean. Cornwall made it on merit. Pound per inverse Pound one of the best players on team.

Emphasis on fitness is the norm for professional sport today
The metrics used to measure the desired fitness level is certainly a work in progress for administrators, coaching staff, and players.

I can tell you categorically that a goal of between 19 and 21 for the BMI is ABSOLUTE NONSENSE!!!!!
For a start Rovman Powell has a BMI of at least 27.
A BMI of 19 is VERY SKINNY
THIS IS RUBBISH!!!

Im no doctor, but I think a target BMI of upper twenties (25-29) is typical for a healthy male! An Elite Athlete is likely lower.

Elite athletes can actually have a higher BMI than regular persons. Elite athletes may have higher body weight but a lower percentage of body fat as their body weight is a high proportion of lean muscle.
A BMI of 25 to 29 would work for an elite athlete, but would be in the overweight category for a regular person. Lebron's James BMI is 27.5, no way anyone would say he is overweight.
A target BMI of 19 to 21 is ridiculous for a professional cricketer.

Lol, Hetty looks like he carrying more fat than lean muscle there. BMI alone shouldn't be used as a metric to determine fitness and hence selection.
Hetty needs to be more disciplined. While I do not agree that the yo yo test should be used to rule out a player from selection. It is a requirement so as a professional Hetty needs to adhere to the requirements. Hetty can pass the test, he has passed it in the past. He needs work harder so he consistently passes the test.
