Everyone pointing fingers but refuse to accept the truth..
That these players we have are simply not good.. not good enough.. but plain not phucking good ..
End of story.

Time to stop the bull about coach and set up
In reply to CITYBOY
The players ARE good enough.
The coaches are not working out their weak points and preparing them before a series.
Every player has his flaws and the opposition knows it very well.
The wicket parade witnessed today were all back foot shot failures.
In this team Hety and Pooran are the only ones good enough to play spin on the back foot.
Does the coach need a billboard to get that message?
In reply to Raskil
Indeed
In reply to Raskil
These are SUPPOSEDLY INTERNATIONAL PLAYERS..what help they need..??
Spin is not voodoo ... I guarantee that the players were HEAVILY EXPOSED TO SPIN in their ascendancy to the top tier ...
They are not good enough to compete at the highest level .. dump them
and move on..
But we too scared to do that .. so we keep recycling JUNK
In reply to CITYBOY
If players dont need help then why do they need a coach?
We have blamed Coaches and administration for almost 3 decades
Yet, failed to see the flaws in our cricket players, such cannot be corrected by any coaching, etc...
It must come from within each player. They grew up being flawed Cricket players. Try straightening a bent tree. Almost impossible
In the past English Leagues corrected such flaws, players had few opportunities so they had to abide by what coaches noted.
Today, we have numerous opportunities for voopers to hit sixes and fours. It's what the spectators want.
Few players want to play Test cricket unless they are from the big Four Countries that can afford to compensate them with million-dollar retainers.
The Caribbean players made many innovative additions to T20, and the rest of the world followed and improved on such.
Many can't pass a fitness test..or don't want to..
We can compete to an extent at the U17, and U19 levels worldwide based on athleticism by such players...then when promoted we see the flaws.
Kohli and Lil B played as opponents, talented players. Do I have to say more....???
Unless we start with the 13-year-olds and have them properly coached and nurtured...No dam Coach or Administration will result in success at the highest level.
Young Players with potential, must be gathered and sent to Cricket Academies, where they can be taught the basics properly, only then we will see improvement.
Such facilities with expertise don't exist in the Caribbean.
We have had 3 decades of failures trying to produce consistency, with the odd blimp on the radar, and it didn't work and such will continue to lead to failures.
Caribbean people's head is so hard, that they can't see ahead...so keep blaming pitches, Coaches, Administration, etc....

Fundamental skills, due process etc
In reply to sgtdjones
Dammm Uncle you finally got that deck built well said couldn't agree more!!!
In reply to Lungidi2017
Our Best players don't have basic fundamental skills, they have cow lashing corner strength.
Yet, the experts on this site cant see such.
We have flawed cricket players that are strong and not fit.

In reply to Raskil
Brother are you not confirming that our players are no good based on your comments!?
Wishy washy players .. who need help
That dont make sense... selecting players who cant bat ..and hoping they get better if WE THROW A COACH AT THEM.
Damn
i'm not going to say they all aren't good because many of them have shown that they can perform they just don't have the mental capacity or temperament that is required at this level to do it consistantly that is the diference between them and the best in the world.
How come some of these same players star at IPL rubbing shoulders with the best T20 players in the world?
Hetmyer
Pooran
Holder
McCoy
Lewis
Powell
The above is half of the team and we can add Hosein.
The players lack consistency playing in a WI team ...the above players have shown they can be match winners...they have the tools to be match winners.
It is the job of coach and staff to therefore mobilize the players to be a cohesive unit and to be consistent....OTHERWISE what is the effing role of IceCream man and staff?
It seems to me...IceCream man and staff play no part whatsover after the toss.
In spite of what the cricket purists may want to say....T20 cricket is highly intellectual, technical and intensely strategic throughout the T20 game,
T20 cricket may have started out to be the greatest party on earth....but it is no longer so.
In reply to velo
Its called producing... the making NO RUNS AND NOT CONTRIBUTING TO WINNING... SO WHY KEEP THEM??
Oops maybe so WE CAN CONTINUE MAKING EXCUSES FOR THEM.
CITY is just upset because his forecast for the 4th match was wrong . The sad thing is that I actually thought he might be right
.
In reply to Narper
Oh come on Narps. Check their individual contribution when in the circus set up...
Their returns are minimal and that is acceptable to the paymasters ..
but not good enough at the international level..
Answer ... how come outside of the WI boys who play in circus go on and be dominant at the international stage ..
Just saying. ...
In reply to Windiesfan78
He upset ?? No way bro !!!
Dont lose sleep over these clowns
In reply to CITYBOY
You can only get out, what you put in.
If your practice ia base on Powerhitting, then that's what your scores will be base on.
Now every day is Monday.
These guys will score the occasional fifty with a good SR, but they will not be consistent, playing other formats will be worse
Hetmyer 50 overs performance is base on 2018-2019, when he could develop an inning, that's long gone.
His learning will have to continue, by working on his game, away from competition.
In reply to CITYBOY
Good, cus these jokers ain't worth it. They can pay me to go out there and swipe and get out.
In reply to sgtdjones
13 too late. The other day I watched a video of a Indian x cricket that start an academy in some Indian Village. Dem fellows couldn't be more than 7 or 8. Dem have already learnt the basic foot movement.
In reply to CITYBOY
So then, the coach serves no purpose.
In reply to CITYBOY
You are seeing the same young IPL Injuns who dominate IPL thrashing the WI right now...
And there are others fRm other countries
According to some of you ,all teams should save the money they spend employing coaches since coaching doesn't make any difference. I have news for you, incompetent coaches don't make any difference, but good coaches working along with the players can turn ordinary players into good players.
Comparing our players development versus others ..
If you understand the mindset you will have a clearer view.
Its chalk and cheese comparison ..
Our guys DONT GIVE A FLYING PHUCK ABOUT IMPROVING ..
My team over the years have a fella who represented India under 19 .. and the story he tells is remarkable..
Cricket is a mean to improve their stature so they can earn money and help their family..and they are competing with millions for that chance.. so the mindset of Indians is to constantly get better .. daily .
Not everyone succeeds but they try.
Compare that to our guys..ask this ..
How many of them try to improve by themselves or totally rely on the system?
And how many once they move up try maintain or improve so they can be world beaters ..
Our guys do not take cricket as their job..they take things for granted ..
WE WILL NEVER IMPROVE WITH THIS CURRENT BUNCH...
Their performance reflects that ...
UNLESS LOSING GIVES YOU A HIGH RANKING!!!
In reply to CITYBOY
Well stated!
We hear about their humble beginnings, poverty, etc etc
but these guys were built SOFT, with a victim hood mentality. Theres no DOG in these guys, they need pampering and nurturing, and counseling, and therapy and and and
.The big money theyre getting now just helps them to invest in a corvette instead of a bowling machine or hire a personal conditioning coach. They dont have a CAUSE that they are fighting for like the guys that came long before them. They are easily manipulated, have fragile egos and it appears an inferiority complex.

Once a child shows good hand-eye co-ordination and left-right awareness he/she is ready to play sports. This tends to occur around age 6 but might be sooner in some kids.
I agree 13 is way too late.
Also kids are more malleable at age 6 or 7 rather than 13 when rebelliousness and indiscipline can start to set in.
In reply to Dukes
Agreed, so keep them far away from that 6 or out junk!

In reply to culpepperboy
Batmanship is about scoring runs, for T20 it scoring runs at a fast pace.
A player with an average of 21 and a SR of 119, will not win many matches for his team.
Had to do some homework, now I have the facts, I will ignore the nonsense.
Time for a White-Ball reset.
