America's unindicted Felons on the Supreme Court

I was taught this lesson: be very wary of a conservative man and his bible.

In his 'Memoir', Thomas related how, when wife Ginni told him he'd been confirmed, he said, quoting from his book:"Well, whoop-dee-doo."

Then he failed to ask a single question from the bench for 7 years while his wife played footsie with the Tea Party. Yes, and having read Jane Mayer's book on Clarence Thomas, I agree 100% . When he was appointed, he was inexperienced and morally compromised. It is only in recent years that lawyers finally heard his voice when he finally decided to speak at a court sitting. And, for God knows what reason, he has chopped down all the bridges that enabled his rise through the obstacles. How can Thomas, a man that uttered not a single word from the bench for over 10 years, be the arbiter of justice in America? How can Barrett, a woman raised in the lunacy of People of Praise, be expected to judge without being completely steered by her religion? How can Kavanaugh, an angry and spiteful man as evidenced by his demeanor during his confirmation hearing, be expected to be anything but spiteful of anything that disagrees with his faith? How can Alito, who just looks plain mean, be expected to do anything but twist his interpretation of the constitution to fit his interpretation of God's will?

Hanna Arendt explained that Power is not inherent to the person --WE the people give power to others. And WE should take it back from them. If they lie & mislead the American people, they do not deserve to be where they are.Jefferson must be spinning in his grave. As anti-federalist, pro-republican as he was, he also scorned any mix of church/religion & state.

This Supreme Court is like a berserker drunk on the power to destroy any law they don't agree with. Their agenda has been aided and abetted by the power of money that put them there. Since Thomas seems bent on continuing undoing laws that have been in place for decades; same-sex marriage, and all other rights granted previously are good game.I just wonder if Justice Thomas will address interracial marriages. Loving v Virginia decided in 1967 enabled him to marry his Ginni; will he be willing to also undo that law ?? With Kavanagh, Gorsuch, and Thomas, really all six of them, the Senate made the mistake of thinking these men had any decency within themselves. Just look at them. At first glance, you can FEEL they are not to be trusted. Why would you believe anything they have ever said?

This court has no legitimacy, composed of a liar sexual harasser (whose wife was involved in Trump's coup of all things), and a guy with very credible allegations of attempted rape against him. Gorsuch lied. ACB openly misled the American people. Who are these unelected people to decide the present and future of the American people on important issues? The conservative justices' claim that their rulings are being based on the social conditions at the time is ludicrous. Black Clarence is married to white Ginnie. That interracial marriage was unthinkable at the time. Is Clarence going to declare his own marriage null and void? I doubt the hypocrites on the court would do that but I’d be interested in knowing their logic for not ignoring it.Justice Thomas seems to feel a chronic sense of victimhood on behalf of the 2nd Amendment, always whining that it doesn't get the respect it deserves. I wish all these so-called "originalists" would pay some attention to what the actual amendment actually said - especially its opening phrase about a "well-ordered militia." Hypocrites!

Biden "let Hill be viciously ripped apart by Republicans and then abruptly ended the hearings" that no doubt Thomas wanted to continue endlessly. Republicans are consistent in their hatred of women as they defund mothers who are supposed to work cheaply and raise, feed, house and educate children alone - not to mention their depraved attacks on Hillary - especially during their Benghazi inquisition and smears during her campaign against Trump.

I remember thinking when HWB nominated Thomas that this was typical Bush: so you think Republicans are racist, he'll nominate a conservative Black man for the Supreme Court, so there! (The Republicans are still trying this tactic.) What Americans got was a man who appears to hate himself so much he's going to take it out on the rest of the country from a lifetime appointment to the Supreme Court. While the Bush administration tried adamantly to sell Clarence Thomas to this nation “as a sterling example of a Black man who had pulled himself up from rough beginnings,” I see Louis Armstrong as one - of many Black men - to do so, but not the porn-loving, pervert Clarence Thomas. Thomas and the rest of the conservative Catholic cabal are the antithesis of one of the pillars of modern democracies: the separation of church and state. Anita Hill took a polygraph. The results supported her statements.Joe Biden tried to get Thomas to take a polygraph as well. Thomas screamed about being done so very wrong and ultimately did not take a polygraph.Thomas was a judge for only about 1 year before his nomination. Thomas should be impeached for lying under oath about his sexual harassment of Anita Hill. It's long overdue. Then, Kavanaugh should be impeached for lying under oath about sexually assaulting a classmate. Neither one of them should have been confirmed in the first place.Face it folks: Americans entered the age of theocracy in America. No different from the Taliban, just a different golden calf to bow down to. He obviously hates Americans which is why he is on a mission to settle scores and cause as much harm to as many as he can to satiate the many grievances he carries. There is no need to have a law degree to be a supreme court judge. To be a good judge, all it needs is common sense.Thomas is a typical example of a well-educated judge without common sense. Yes, the minority has created a new law and imposed it on the majority. Their flaunted moral superiority and intellectual arrogance crush women and the Constitution without a care in the world.Their self-righteousness and sanctimony are nauseating.

For a glimpse into his personal life, some years ago, Ginni Thomas did a video interview with him .She describes him as a sexy man. He preens.Indeed, not only has he done everything to weaken a woman’s right to choose, he has also tried to weaken non-Republican voters' right to choose their representatives and head of government - going so far as to be the only justice to give a free pass to the coup leader in chief and his ilk - Yes, and also to settle the score against Biden for allowing a woman to challenge Thomas during his moment of glory.Hill was smeared as a perjuring erotomaniac, and Biden, wasting a Democratic Senate majority, allowed a liar, a pervert, and a sexual harasser to be elevated to a lifetime seat on the court.Anita Hill and Christine Blasey Ford warned us about Thomas and Kavanaugh. The Senate should have believed them. I think the conservative justices opened up a Pandora’s Box that they have chosen to keep closed until they had a majority. Besides Thomas’s allusion to contraception and marriage equality, I anticipate the justices will revisit rulings on cases involving how to define hate crimes and the rights of the disabled. So we’re all supposed to be assured by the rest of the conservative court that Thomas is an outlier in his belief that the right to same-sex marriage can be overturned and contraception restricted.Ah, how fitting. The first of many articles memorializing the long and inauspicious career of neither great nor good justice as he moves inexorably toward his retirement, forced upon him by his Trumpet spouse. Somebody should talk to Thomas about the possibility of impeachment when a justice, say, refuses to step down even in a situation when his wife is actively involved in a coup against the US government. My feeling is that Thomas's entirely superfluous remarks regarding sodomy and gay marriage are meant to signal to the Republican mandarins that they need him on the Court. This black-robed manipulator and mediocrity have been a disgrace ever since grievance-lying during his hearings. I don't for one moment believe that he cares about abortion other than as a political expedient to get back at liberals and women like Hill.

Justice Thomas may well have internalized self-hatred in response to his own and his family’s generational subjection to white supremacy and its overt racism, growing up in rural and rabidly racist Georgia. The Stockholm syndrome causes some victims of severe psychological distress with its terror to so psychologically identify with their oppressors that they end up strongly supporting and defending them. Much like the house slave, Stephen, in the powerful film, “Django.” If so, this would explain “why” Justice Thomas appears to have a complete lack of empathy for the oppressed and for people of color, especially women who live in poverty. Justice Thomas is being used by the far right to approve their own oppressive agenda. Sadly, he now fully endorses that agenda. That psychological behavior manifests itself in a strong desire in those people, leading them to 'overcompensate' in their actions for being in the minority. It's kinda proof that they truly share the same values with the majority, despite outward differences.

The more vulnerable their subconsciousness, the more their inclination to over-compensate for it. No indicator of vulnerability and the resulting over-compensating traits in Justice Clarence Thomas is more revealing and insightful than the public persona of his wife. The notion that his wife's political opinions and actions, which are clearly in conflict with his oath as a judge, remain a secret to herself at home is simply absurd. Not to mention her subscription to QAnon crackpot theories. And yet Justice Thomas sat on the bench over cases that involved his wife's paid activities without recusing himself! As if he is able to walk on water.I would like to see Thomas' reaction when the SC starts looking at the slave ownership issue in the "original" constitution.

As U.S.Grant once said” if you disagree with an onerous, unfair law. The best way to get it repealed is to enforce it vigorously.” The Republicans have just stepped into that trap.

Americans consider itself a first-world country but in reality, America only qualify because of its wealth. In fact, American politics more closely resemble those of a third-world country. Saudi Arabia comes to mind as a comparison due to its great wealth while its politics are thoroughly misogynistic and it being a society that worships violence. Americans should be concerned about this fact.

There is a well-understood behavior pattern in some people who come from a 'minority' (of some sort) to strongly identify with the majority of which they seek to be part. Even if those views may be contrary to their own.A mediocre judge at best. A bitter man. Dishonest in his failure to recuse given his repellent wife's activities. His backward view of what this country is supposed to be.And now joined by three unindicted felons on the bench; those three recent Trump appointees ( railroaded in by Mitch McConnell), who clearly lied under oath at their confirmation hearings. Revenge is a dish best served cold, and this week has been the apotheosis of Clarence Thomas’ career. From now on it’s God, guns, and glory- Voting rights, climate, marriage, contraception….it’s all in the bullseye of this illegitimate body we call SCOTUS. This "Court", if not so dangerous, would be comical. The Supreme Court declared war on women and anyone who is not a straight white male. America as a nation is doomed.

Goodbye, "America".

Quite a lot to digest. Will have to do so in pieces.

Let's start here...

Jefferson must be spinning in his grave. As anti-federalist, pro-republican as he was, he also scorned any mix of church/religion & state.

As a slave owner and pedophile under today's standards, I think not!

My reference was just to note any mix of "church/religion & state."

I am researching the Founders and their policy as slave owners and slaves..

Will write about such soon.
