Pooran simply isn't the best person to lead the T20 in the WC. Not by his poor performance and not by his leadership skills for which he is still learning and the curve is steep.
As it is now, he cannot make the team if the sole criteria is performance.
He needs to be free from any leadership role so he can focus on his batting.
He cost TKR the match today- horrible shot to get out- supposedly the best WI batter and then a drop catch of Charles- made all the difference.

i agree that consideration should be given to replacing Pooran as cappo but the question is: Who we go put?? Not that convinced about Rovman but he is probably the front and only runner as Hety has not shone as captain so far but at least his form is miles in front of Pooran who has had a really horrific past 18 months or so as a batsman. TKR has been really poor batting wise this season and the move to open with Pooran has prob been to give him more deliveries to find form but it has not been working as he has been wasting it.

These guys are over played of recent times, and if I was in charge, I would rest most of them.
You need to step away for a bit to get better, and yes, you can get better without playing, in their case.
CPL timing is bad.
