Did you pen that piece?

Good stuff.

Barry 2022-09-23 14:03:45

Moured by his King confused

JahJah 2022-09-23 14:12:00

Wait. People still talking, and thinking, about that woman?

Ayenmol 2022-09-23 14:12:44

One sided. The writer wishes to examine the moral terpitude of his subject by claiming he took money from a foreign entity....without ever stating why that was morally corrupt or otherwise. Simply that it is one of Saudi background.
While the writer makes no mention of his own biasses.

Dude. It's an opinion piece.

It's kinda given that there will be biases in opinion pieces. That's why they are called opinion pieces.

Ayenmol 2022-09-23 14:23:23

In reply to SnoopDog

I have seen lots of opinion pieces where the writer allows the reader to peer into the reasons they hold their opinion.
But i rather not get too deep into that.
Just because it is an opinion piece does not exclude the writer from being forthcoming with relevant information.
Taking down someone on moral grounds while not stipulating the readon you judge them on such grounds is just a hatchet job.
Aimed at sullying others only.
King Solomon accepted gifts from all and sundry. A monarch is not a Politician...unless am ignorant to British law.
Monarchs are known to be given and receive gifts. Lavish ones at that from all who so choose.

SnoopDog 2022-09-23 15:09:14

In reply to Ayenmol

So in other words, you disagree with the writer's opinion in the writer's opinion piece.

Good. Now move on.

Ayenmol 2022-09-23 15:14:02

In reply to SnoopDog

The writer hides his agenda in his opinion that relies heavily on the agenda of another.

If VOR is the heavy weigh champion of Goat-mouthedness, then you my man are the heavy weight champion of banality and pidantics.

As the late Royal Freeloader would say: "Cheerio o ole chap".

Ayenmol 2022-09-23 15:43:11

In reply to SnoopDog

Says the man who is arguing that a mans opinion is sacred while attacking another man's opinion....am the banal one?

googley 2022-09-23 15:43:46

One is entitled to feel saddened at the death of Queen Elizabeth II and even admire her perseverance in running her empire. However, we should not forget that the wealth Britain gained came from the sweat and toil of those who laboured in the colonies and those of us who were deluded by the grandeur of her empire.

agree with those sentiments...

I recommend you knock on poster googley's door between the hours of 7pm to 11pm tomorrow night. I'm reliably advised he will be home and has no plans during that block of time. lol

The JW in their own magazines have stated the Europeans used Christianity to make commerce through enslavement of African slaves. Hence the Christianity employed by the Europeans back then was false religion.

False Religion is referred to (in the bible) as Babylon System...The Pope and the Queen would be seen as heads and symbols of Babylon system.

One can therefore see the JW position on these things.

True on all counts. However, Babylon the Great is not a single person...and one individual passing does not constitute Babylon falling. It will fall by the hand of the one who is to destroy it.
Therefore we do not celebrate the passing of an individual nor do we seek to judge that individual.
Furthermore, none of the opinions rendered here are an attempt to uphold God's Sovereignty. Is it? It is simply one side of the coin blaming the other side for it's existence and issues.
Or seeking to elevate one ideology over the other.

I enjoy this kind of writing simple prose yet profound.

By the way, how does a man writing only his complete bias and no objectivity has 'Mixed Feelings and Nostalgia'on hearing both anthems played? Whether we CAN read or KNOW HOW TO READ are different things.

A Nigerian DJ who was recognised in one of the Queen’s Honours ceremonies said that all his life the people were telling him he didn’t belong and that they represented the establishment and they could guarantee that he wasn’t appreciated until….. he was recognised, then why would he then refuse to accept it and prove all the haters right that he should be excluded. He took it to stick it to the haters and to know to himself that his contribution was on par or better with anything else offered
