All the other teams are aware that our batters have a weakness against spin and may play additional spinners just to get the better of us so why not counter this?
It is known that Hosein is comfortable against spin so why not promote him in the batting order to come in at the fall of the first wicket at the end of the power play depending on the situation of the game?
Hosein has been good with the bat and even has a first class century and while his average in T20 cricket may Not be impressive, it's because if his tendency to run himself out.
In the last match, he came in while the spinners were on and had no problems in scoring 28 runs at faster than a run a ball while sharing a 49 run partnership with Powell - the best partnership of the match
But will the daft team management see the merit in this change? I doubt it.

Countering the Weakness against Spin
In reply to Hendra
You drifted astray here by focusing on one player.
It is well known that tn the entire cricket community that the current crop of West Indies players bar none is weak against spin bowling.
There is lil' doubt that we will be facing a barrage of spin for the rest of the tournment.
Our brains trust is not known to be scientific and proactive, therefore it is imperative that posters here with the know how give the best advice to our players for playing spin using this MB.
My advice: No half way measures. Either get close to the pitch of the ball and clobber straight or go deep on the backfoot and play square of the wicket (not cow corner). It's the winner takes it all, there is nothing to fear.
NB: if we open with Charles and he faces spin in the first over don't look for him to score runs. He does not have even the slightest clue against spin bowling.

What's your advice to our mind cluttering batsmen to spin bowling?

the problem with these guys is that they're learning on the job....a legacy of the two morons from SL and the big idiot. Lara was the greatest player of spin ever, sarwan was an excellent player of spin, Chanderpaul was an excellent player of spin, Gayle was a very good player of spin, Darren bravo once had the second highest average among current players on the subcontinent so he had to be a good player of spn bowling. But those guys were exiled and one retired. What do you expect, an generation of excellent spin plyers? Trinidad used to embarrass teams containing most of these same players regularly with spin bowling

Rather than attempting to be circuitous, I will go to the root of the problem and put the blame on a very poor or non-existant developmental system.

I fully agree with your suggestions. Add the promotion of Hosein in the batting order and suddenly the battng becomes more solid.

Jumpy exaggerates and overstates events that never occurred and as you described his rants goes around and around.
West Indies is not going anywhere in this tournament spin or no spin..the guys just don't think..there isn't a single one of them..maybe only Mayer..who can be considered smart and crafty..that is what is most frustrating to me
You were well on your way to a very good post until your over-indulgent enthusiasm for one player let you insert a bit of nonsense. How many times has Hosein ran himself out in all formats moreover it affecting his avg. in the shortest format? Doan duh dat agen
