Chadwick Walton ?
Big hitter Andre McCarthy?
Someone asked about Allen's absence. Any news on this player.
Has he retired ? Another one missing is Derval Green . Too old ?
In reply to hubert
I believe that Odean Smith and Derval Green would be competing for the same spot.
But I have no idea why Fabian Allen is absent.
In reply to LBW375 & Slipfielder
I believe that these two will slot in after Nkruma Bonner and Jermaine
Blackwood depart for the Australian tour.
In reply to Yadi
Thanks.
I expected King to be named in the Test squad.
This WI team needs people who can bat, even a little as playing against Australia in Australia
demands this.
I have not heard of the Test Squad yet so I hope Selector Haynes give King a chance. King has
ability and shows good promise.
I also expect Hope and Brooks to be in the Test squad and to replace Campbell, I would go with
Keiron Powell rather than Tage Chanderpaul for this tour.
The sooner the squad get to OZ the better..they need to be acclimated to the pitches as soon and as
long as possible before the Tests.
In reply to hubert
I would go with Tage. We need to find a way to protect the middle order from the new ball
In reply to hubert
I also believe King could make the trip.
In reply to Baje
Both Tage Chanderpaul and Brandon King could go together.
In reply to Baje
Agree. However I think South Africa is better for him to start his career. He will get more cricket by then..hopefully
some domestic FC games.. as there is nothing going on now and he will be going to OZ cold..That could be tragic.
In reply to hubert
Tage is in the squad.
In reply to buds
Good then. What is the Squad ?
In reply to buds
Rahkeem Cornwall is also in the squad to Australia.
In reply to Yadi
Why?
In reply to hubert
so you would bring in an absolute or bona fide failure in Powell, the guy has never shown any aptitude or commonsense, rather than giving Tage a shot, what deference whether SA or Aus same condition same relentless fast bowlers, WI need some new blood whether for bad or good, Ganga was taken to SA at age 19 against the most brutal pace attack in the world at that time
In reply to VoopsandOut
Because of his height and the potential EXTRA-BOUNCE of those pitches.
His hitting in the recently concluded T-20's would also have contributed.
In reply to bird
Yes. He is also one of the few WI players playing who is an immortal. He knows how to get runs
and has got runs before. I would prefer his experience in Australia.
But I don't think he is in the squad ..some people are talking about the squad..But can't or won't
release it. It's top secret. Shouldn't be..we at the bottom right now
In reply to bird
How did he do there? WI got 5-0(?) in that series too..with some top class batsmen

In reply to Yadi
Check out Aldaine Thomas.
Good Glove man and plays spin well. I think he scored a century against Guyana last tournament.
