My suggestions to fix windies cricket
Number 1 issue is leadership at board level
Need proactive leadership for next 5 yrs +
Rebuilding plan
Performance centers need functioning fully and across region
Need to train all players on spinning wickets on Guyana with world class spin coach how to play spin bowling effectively again all players
Need to invest in school cricket on every island with real investments
Need to improve facilities on those islands still behind Need major school leagues fully functioning.
Need to get windies players into international cricket earlier....players should be assisted to join one day and 3 day leagues in other top cricketting nations
Botton line need a proactive comprehensive action plan to address and reform west indies mens cricket from the ground level up.

Need to get windies players to love the game and not themselves!
Welcome back - none of your plans matter until we deal with cricket in our schools and communities.
Young people don't even follow the game these days.

You have been saying this for ages..deaf ears abound.
But keep teaching. The realities have mot sunk in yet and probably never will.
Big difference between past generations that GREW up with cricket as if it were
meat, drink and bread and later generations that have to be pursued to like the and embrace the game
in a world with so many distractions and alternatives.
Cradle to the grave love no longer exists where love and embrace of the game is concerned in
the Region.
However there is always hope.

The young learn from their elders, the adults don't support cricket. imagine a talented youth playing in front of 2 stray cats and a dog every tournament.

Correct
Yes cricket no longer enjoys a monopoly on fans and parents in the region. However it still resonates and is still in the top 5 sports in the english caribbean. At the primary level moreover parents, close family, and school supporters form inner core of fans as other sports grow and cricket continues to "lick her wounds" and fails to compete effectively and with real monetary incentives.

Night cricket would be very enticing and family friendly affair.
Evening games in American sports is what feeds the professional leagues.
The thinking must be different at the top.
