50 over cup is just awful

Why CWI continuing to pay these pretenders a monthly salary?
Years now since these professional contracts came out... where is the improvement/result to show for this investment?
Half of them unfit, can't bat for 20 mins without throwing away their wickets, can't bowl six deliveries on a consistent line and length in a row.... yet they drawing down and calling themselves professional cricketers?
CWI better off investing in grass root cricket... spend that money at elsewhere.

I disagree. Many players have improved as a result of these professional contracts. Devon Thomas is a good example. His batting has greatly improved and it reflects in the statistics. No, he hasn't left a mark internationally, but the growth is still noteworthy with him and others.
The standard of cricket has grown on a whole worldwide. Perhaps things would have been even worse for us without these contracts.
If our Domestic teams cannot bat 50 Overs or score 200 runs, there is no wonder we cannot do that at International level.

CWI can not invest in grass roots cricket, it is the Territorial Boards who need to do that. Berbice Cricket Board have county wide Under 13,Under 15,Under 17 and Under 19 tournaments and other Boards need to do that as well.
Georgetown Cricket Association is also doing well

they're not paid a monthly salary. They're paid per game. The PCL during de big idiot's time attempted give them a guaranteed contract in the hope that regional standards would raise. Instead, de big idiot pissed off the best players in the region by attempting to partially fund his project by cutting their tour salaries. Imagine cutting gayle and bravo's salary to give liam sebatien, barely up to fc standard, a professional contract. Absurd, stupid and ridiculous

The territorial boards have their respective players on retainers..right? And no double dipping...if you are on CWI retainer then you are not on your board retainer.
