No batter could ton up, bowling being flayed all over the place by a club? side with 2 players scoring tons and having to declare at 400 plus for only 4 wkts. Second innings batting worse losing 4 wkts for ziltch.
Looks like these guys will perform even worse than we expect.....or...or are they leading the Oz on?

Worrying Start for Windies
In reply to Hendra
I think I am more concerned with the lack of wickets. To be competitive, we must be able to put the opposition under pressure and the way they batted, it made our attack look very blunt in the conditions.

But our losing 4 wkts our top order so cheaply is is of gracer concern....
...
and its not like they were facing Starc or Cummings!

Either way it won't be easy. However, it was a practise match, one in which we are becoming used to the conditions. The fact that our bowling attack got hammered is not something I take lightly. We made over 400 runs in the first innings with Holder retiring after getting 50. I was hoping to see us skittle out the opposition.

Here is a guide to West Indies performance:
If we score a lot of runs the wicket is a batsman paradise and our bowlers will struggle
If our bowlers run through the opposition then the wicket is bowler friendly and our batsmen will struggle
Don't expect them to match Oz but many, many times over the last decade Kraigg, Jermaine and others go into tests with woeful FC and practice games behind them yet play reasonably well test cricket.

Paint says that he is going to Australia to win, that is all I need to hear . Better to be positive and lose than to be negative and hold your head down.

We have to just bat block bat block....because we done know we have to bowl bowl bowl
In reply to Narper
That will work once you can keep your wicket like a certain Sir Gordon. The bowling looked very blunt in the first practise match.
