These Green Lions are being compared to the illustrious St Benedict's team of the 60's.
They had an off game today but still managed to scrape a penalty kick win courtesy some fantastic goalkeeping.
Their ball movement , transitional play and individual skill sets resemble that of a more mature outfit than mere schoolboys.
Below is one of their goals in last weeks 10-0 semi final drubbing - superior ball movement /movement off the ball.

As much as I wanted to see a victory for my alma mater, it was better for South that Benedict’s go on to represent. Garcia and a couple others were so very impressive! The ability to dribble in big like conditions- nice stuff. Bodes well for national team in a few years?
