1,500 fish explodes
A giant aquarium containing a million litres of water in the lobby of the Radisson Blu in Berlin has burst, flooding the hotel and nearby streets.
The "AquaDom" - home to 1,500 tropical fish - is 15.85m high (52 ft) and was described as the largest free-standing cylindrical aquarium in the world.
Two people were injured by falling glass after the blast.
Police said there had been "incredible" damage. Video showed an empty tank with water pouring into the hotel lobby.
Damn!

The AquaDom was a 25-meter-tall cylindrical acrylic glass aquarium with built-in transparent elevator inside the Radisson Collection Hotel in Berlin, Germany in the DomAquarée complex at Karl-Liebknecht-Straße in Berlin-Mitte.

I've always wondered what would happen when one of these ridiculous aquariums crack or break. Now we know - they are lucky this didn't happen in the middle of the day.

man is arrogant is right but ya ever stopped to think that (1) we don't hear about this every day - I can't recall ever hearing of an instance of this before in my life, (2) the fish therein generally live good lives free from pollution of harmful chemicals.
This is no better an example of man's arrogance than a piece of metal with seats in it flying through the air for hours taking people from one side of the globe to the other or the same via the ocean..

It is man's arrogance why the oceans and seas are polluted.

I wonder if it was not cylindrical, but rectangular this disaster could have been avoided, I could be wrong, but I
believe that a rectangular Tank would have been able to take
more stress than a Cylindrical Tank.

Fish does not belong in an aquarium

Most lightly fatigue stress caused the Aquarium to imploded... Vibration/shaking over a period of time.
