starts in July
Former New Zealand all-rounder Corey Anderson sometimes receives blank stares when he tells people in his adopted home of Dallas that he is a professional cricketer.
But in an encouraging sign for the popular British commonwealth bat and ball game, as it attempts to make inroads in the U.S, there are increasingly more people who know what Anderson is on about. Thats because there has started to be media coverage over Major League Cricket, the first T20 professional league in the U.S, with Dallas to be the competitions primary venue for the first edition starting in July 2023.
The six-team tournament, comprising 19 games, will feature franchises from Dallas, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Washington D.C, Seattle and New York City. Franchise names, rosters and salary caps are expected to be announced early next year.

M Vijay could become available to play after losing hope over BCCI
The US could use 10 good players from India to start things off.
Hoping it takes off and is successful. We need a good league in this part of the world where players from the region as a whole can have an opportunity to perform and grow further. No slight to the CPL, but it's really designed for established faces

need it to be successful and a sort of feeder system.

I have a feeling that MiLC which has been running the past couple years, may be seen as a feeder to MLC. Does anyone know how the squads will be composed for the MLC teams?
Players from the WI and the Americas have played for MiLC teams the past couple seasons so we know there's an avenue. Question is, will MLC be able to take a similar approach and recruit young talent from the region (to go alongside the established stars that they'll seek).
