GULF needed 42 off 24 balls but Lynn and Hetmyer were cool as a cucumber. They scored 18 runs off the 17th over and that killed the game right there. Hetmyer hit the winning runs and the whole camp of the Gulf Giants erupted with joy!

Nice, I watched his innings which reminds me of what he is capable of. Like Pooran, his problem is consistency, not a lack of talent. It is good to see him enjoying his cricket. I think he has been under a lot of pressure in recent times.

Matter of fact, Chrissy had a video of a mature gentleman who was talking about the talent batting-wise in the West Indies. Guess which names came up? He mentioned you guessed it, Pooran and Hetmyer. He stated that they are the most talented but aren't living up to their potential. When Hetmyer is in form he is a joy to watch.

If you follow what I have been saying is we have to find a way to have our best players playing ALL FORMATS for the WI.
I consider Hettie,Pooran,King and Hope to be our best batsmen and they should be playing both WHITE AND RED ball cricket for the West Indies.
The Lara group recentlysaid essentially the same thing.
It requires diplomacy, sagacity and compromise but can be done if there are men with the interest of WI cricket as their primary concern rather than men with outsize egos.
