It was not necessarily a downgrade but it was a very safe option for that period of his life.

The basic rule of thumb is that when a person is in transition, never allow the third party to take up residence in your castle…set a cutoff time of 10 pm..dont ever let them wake up in your den…if you do - thats a recipe for disaster. - NDA or no NDA…

Herman claims she's owed $30 million after the oral agreement was breached when the trust's employees "locked her out of the Residence, removed her personal belongings, and informed her she could not return." Herman also said that she had more than $40,000 in cash that was "misappropriated."
Herman is suing for consequential monetary damages, injunctive relief, and attorneys' fees under the Florida Residential Landlord Tenant Act, per the court documents.
Woods' representatives did not immediately respond to PEOPLE's request for comment.

There is a video of Tiger attempting to discreetly pass his phone number to a random woman behind the ropes during "The Match" between him and Phil. This was while he was dating Herman. So it's safe to say that even during this relationship he was trying for multiple hole in ones on different greens.
Herman though is clearly looking for a golden parachute and at some point he's going to cut her a cheque too just to get rid it.
The guy's personal life a clusterfcuk.
