Only in Guyana...if I were to name an experience I had yesterday, I would name it: 'The Cussbird and The Word Smith'. Tell me if you agree...lol. I am rushing through Stabroek, not wanting to be late for an appointment. My ears were suddenly assaulted by the worst cuss out on the pavement, coming from a vendor to a customer. "I wan (want) rob you? I wan rob you? Yuh mutha xyz...you gat anything I want? You gat anything fuh rob?..She couldn't find enough cuss words. What struck me, was the relative calm of the man she was cursing. He was leaning against his bicycle just studying this crazy outburst. He, calmly; " I never said that! I never said anything like that!". She: " What yuh SEH deh then.Tell me wah yuh SEH." She was hopping mad. He: "I said, YUH "LOOK" LIKE YUH WANT TO ROB ME." Lol...She was stunned into temporary silence. I burst out laughing as I thought "Sir, you are a word smith". I didn't hang around for her response. I guess she was trying to figure out the difference. LOL Only In Guyana folks.
