Disappointing bowling and more disappointing batting:
Salient Points:
Mayers and Holder kept it tight on the in the beginning of the 2nd SA innings. Al Jo and the Angel need some coaching to further refine talents we got 40 wickets bowled out SA but we can do better
Although Motie got two wickets on the 1st day after that he was wicket less.
Our batsmen need to apply them selves , learning to play seam and spin
I am not sure what is keeping Chase in the Test side two ducks and no score of note
At least Mayers is taking wickets Chase is not
A welcome return for Jason Holder in Batting and Bowling he is one of our top performers
The opening pair needs to be examined further Chanders did not distinguish himself nor did Paint.
We enjoy Test Cricket but our batting and bowling have let us down in this series

Motie is learning on the job, I do hope CWI employ a coach for the spinners.
He is returning to Guyana, that's where the role coaches are needed.
In reply to Cornfused
Jason, at this stage, should be a dominant force, the big backbone of this team. We got a glimmer of that in this test. His dry streak, while it may be confidence related, is way too lengthy. He is below standard like the rest of the team. Every guy should be made to fight for a place.
So seems like every time we go to South Africa we get beaten the same way by the SA fast bowlers.
1) Why Do we not prepare for that type of bowling by simulating it in a pseudo environment? Yeah our pitches are slow, what about concrete and compressed rubber balls?
2) If you're a young WI fast bowler, why wouldn't you watch the SA bowlers and copy their approach????
In reply to Curtis
Here I was believing this is the very first time we have been beaten in SA and only becos the team is weak?
Tell me more
The rest of your post is how one should prepare for individual teams
