WI cricket team in test cricket is at the level of Zimbabwe and Ireland

Maybe Bangladesh

Like every team, we’re a bit better at home….and will win the occasional match or series, but we are firmly esconced in the lower tier

It’s no different in white ball cricket

We’ve changed administration, coaches, captains, players…..doesn’t matter

We’ve tried filling with teams with majority Jamaican, Trini, and Bajan. No real difference except for a World T20 title

We went the geriatric route with one word cup and it was a disaster

As a team, we don’t have any kind of sustained success

Individually, some of our players do quite well in franchise leagues around the world.

So the talent is there. The ability to nurture and harness that talent for the teams benefit is not.

It ought to be highly thought of. It is the most sought after. Most watched. Most monied. Most progressive and innovative. Most financially rewarding for stakeholders.

It should be noted that those who deride it or think less of it are the MOST unhappy!

IPL is full of quota picks.

There is a reason why our openers looked really good against ZIM and right back to reality Vs SA.

And since this is international Test cricket we are reacting to what is the value of the lick it cricket parallel?

West Indies cricket is in the toilet because the team isn't good enough to compete. This has nothing to do with any *PL league.
