as a nice send off for a great national captain, Leon Johnson - the Tamar Lambert of Guyanese cricket.

I hope Guyana wins the four day competition

I don't push dis nationality ting bro - you're just born where yuh mother is at birth time. I have lived the vast majority of my life in Jamaica. Now if you said because Leon went to Roses, dat would be a better argument - he sure made history for my old school.
In reply to Chrissy
it is a good comparison that you make, with Johnson and Tamar Larbert, they both were very good captain but were unable to make it to the international level, I do agree it will be a fitting(deserved) send off for Leon
In reply to bird
Agree
would be #6 and a perfect send off
In reply to Chrissy
Its good to see hes going out with some dignity. Everyone who followed his career, himself and those in charge are clear that hes retiring.
Thats something missing at the senior level and Im happy Sarwan is fostering this culture of clarity in Guyanas cricket.
I was backing Leon and Fuda to do much better but it didnt happen.
In reply to Chrissy
It would be a good send off, but I'm backing Winwards.
I like young Alick Athanaze.
Promising batsman and cappo.
I like what I'm seeing from him.
I wish him all the best and a championship would be great.
I hope that he does noty let success get to his head.
He is a potential Wondies cappo.
I hope that he is nutured and treated well.
In reply to Raskil
Yep I expected more from Fuda as well and he knew that - nice
In reply to TanteMerle
Alick is having a very good season - wish he had converted at least one of those big scores but he should win this match.
In reply to Chrissy
leon is a good dude...a rational man in a sea of irrationality. he should go into administration.
In reply to Chrissy
You remember Red Baron in de day.
He was really pissed Leon was given the WI U19 cappoship over Jason Mohammed,
Now both playing in this match..
The St Roses lad carries himself well
Looks like Leon will go out with a bang in his last FC season
In reply to Narper

In reply to shivnotout
After many dot balls he did play the big shot and was dropped...balls before...yuh know some men cant handle de stress as they approach a ton
In reply to Narper
Be careful
Red Barry is still around and hell come out swinging
In reply to TanteMerle
I am supporting Windwards this year as well. I think that they have some capable players in their middle order, probably the soundest in the region.
In reply to TanteMerle
Chrissy doan play dat.
She originally from Mudland and now domiciled in the Yard, but yet a staunch supporter of anything Tit.
How's dat for versatility?
In reply to Drapsey
