Today I heard that Keemo Paul is a T 20 specialist. Is that true?
What does it mean?
Is Brandon King a white ball cricketer?
What about Shai Hope?

Fans are constantly fed bunch of nonsense and sadly they are disinclined to fact check what is written and spoken, so they passively accept all the misinformation that is disseminated. In order to be a red ball cricketer in the West Indies you have to suck at white ball cricket and do well at red ball cricket at the first class level.Should you do well in white ball cricket, then your opportunities to play red ball cricket become severely limited and should you do well in white ball cricket you will be labelled as such and can then kiss your red ball career goodbye.
It is INSANE

BTW Keemo Paul is in his 6th season of first class cricket for Guyana and in 5 of those seasons his bowling average has been less than 20.Last year for the first time his bowling average was over 20, when in fact he took 20 wickets at 22.80 apiece.Overall he has 113 wickets at 19 apiece which is lower that ALL of his peers, yet he is a T 20 specialist!!!
Brandon King has one of the highest first class batting average of WI eligible batsmen, yet the perception is that he is more interested in white ball cricket.
We have so few International calibre players that it is CRIMINAL to pigeon hole our best cricketers with these false labels and end up with teams that are not our best.

Mark Nicholas just said that it is surprising watching Hope and Pooran bat that they are not playing test cricket for the West Indies.Pollock then lamented the tendency to pigeon hole players as red ball or white ball players.

Mark is stating the obvious to all West Indies fans. I’m hoping whomever CWI select as their next red ball coach, make a concerted effort to get King, Pooran and Hope playing test cricket. I didn’t mention Hetty, I think Hetty has moved on and so should we.
