Will always be hard to understand.
I guess we rather see our cricketers bat fast and foolish.

The hate for Hope
In reply to nick2020
you live in a binary world?
In reply to nick2020
Do you think slow is smart?
In reply to doosra
No I live in a relative one. And relatively Shai Hope is our current version of Hooper
There don't seem to any touch players, that bat face can be manipulated.
Lets see if Jason can do it.
100 more important than win!
In reply to camos
I think it is smarter to bat out the overs given the state of our cricket.
In reply to camos
Is this what he is doing or it is easier to make up stuff?
In reply to nick2020
the bajans who made him Sir should deport your rass

In reply to nick2020
should the guy coming in next bat like this?
In reply to camos
If it means we put up a total that we can defend yes.
In reply to camos
Ready to do the math on:
95 runs @ 95 SR vs what the rest did and the overall contribution to the team?
In reply to nick2020
that is why I like them chasing , the folly becomes obvious sooner.
Shai Hope's batting in ODIs is the least of our issues.
In reply to nick2020
I am outta town, how Shai butter is
. doing
In reply to nick2020 when I coached youth soccer I had a kid who I would always keep in a game if its close and a must win,and there was another if he scores a goal he don't care about the outcome.
In reply to camos
camos I believe everyone on here is intelligent enough to look at the numbers.
King 30 runs 29 balls
Kyle 36 runs 26 balls
Pooran and Powell we won't bother with because they scored at about the same rate as Hope.
So if Hope gave us 36 runs facing 26 balls and got out would we be better off?
In reply to camos
Good story but really bears no relevance to West Indies cricket.
In reply to tc1
He is sitting on 99 runs and if you believe the board he is hurting the team in the process.
In reply to nick2020
Your take is consistent with your understanding of the current situation.

Do you think we have enough runs?
This man is the best one day batstsman wunna got when he does not score half the time this team cant put a good score and yet keep critisizing the man batting when the team lost .outside of him and pooran the rest are poor hit and miss sloggers
In reply to camos
A better question to answer is how did Shai do?
In reply to doosra
Petrified?
In reply to velo
there was a time in ODI where 300 defended itself, these days you need more than 350 to be in the game, this is close but I think short.
In reply to camos
I suspect the real problem is people do not understand Shai is a far better batman than the rest in ODI cricket.
In reply to nick2020
he played well today
but i think part of the thing is because he is the best people expect him to not have 50 60 dot balls
In reply to doosra he is also the skipper and most experienced batsman, you expect a sustained tempo, when he gets going.
In reply to nick2020
Thanks for the update.
In reply to camos
The way the others bat we won't make 250.
In reply to nick2020Do you see how these guys pace their innings, even if they get out the new man has time to get accustomed to the conditions.
