South Africa vs West Indies, 3rd ODI
We will bowl first. There will be early help for the bowlers and we would like to exploit it. Temba has an hamstring issue, he has had a great summer, don't want to push him too much. Unfortunately the first ODI was washed out, the plan is to give all the guys a go and widen the pool in the lead-up to the World Cup. No points in this series, so now is a good chance to try different things. We have four changes.
No changes for us. We would have liked to bat actually, it looks a good pitch and will stay good throughout. I am trying to build some partnerships in the middle, we struggled to do so in the past. We stepping in the right direction and hope to continue. Yeah definitely [on enjoying captaincy].
This looks a good surface. Nice and dry, very even with just enough grass. Will stay good throughout.
It is a very important role, batting at 6 I have to shepherd the batting. lots of results will come down to how I bat. Also my role is to lead the lower-order batters. We have been searching for our standard in the last one year or two. That's why we have been poor, but we have a new captain and we have sat down with the selectors to plan for the way forward. It will come down to my cricket sense, not always power wins, you got to know when to take on a bowler when he is in a good spell. Just take the positives from the last game, worked really hard, hopefully I can go a little bit longer today.

Short outside off, Mayers pulls and miscues it straight up, Ngidi initially misjudged it at mid-on, then went back and takes it with outstretched hands over his head as it came over. Just about hangs on. In the end the catch was made difficult than what it was supposed to be.

If we can rotate the strike better and ensure that we bat the full 50 overs, our team will continue to see positive results.

Alzarri Joseph to Rickelton, out Caught by Mayers!! Unplayable and Mayers at slip almost makes a meal of it. Angled in rising short of length delivery on off, Rickelton tries to ride the bounce, can't takes the shoulder of the bat and loops to Mayers who fumbles twice and somehow manages to clutch on to his body to complete the take.
