West Indies v UAE at 2.00am - warm up
Appears there is a delay with the toss.
In reply to Discourse
Is this one televised at least ??
In reply to Halliwell
Doesn't seem so, been searching.
An annoying unclosed door cs the wind battle, woke me up.
Didn't even knownwe were playing a match.
So we ain't get none the live warm up matches do?
In reply to positiveg
Didn't even knownwe were playing a match.

Better you go back to bed.
An hour now and nothing to report. What a shame.
WI 40/1 in 10 overs
...now I'm reading UAE 42/1 in 11
Makes more sense cuz I can't see Charles Mayers scoring at 4 after 10...those guys either smash or back in the pavilion
Ireland struggling against the Netherlands 88/5 in 24 overs
Now 120/6 in 27 overs
West Indies 42/1 after 11 overs batting first.
I give up. I can't tell which side is batting first but most reports are saying WI 65/1 in 13 overs.
Reports are that Mayers has stepped up with heavy scoring
Mayers and Brooks batting
WI 75/1 in 15 overs
In reply to analyst-kid
Coverage not being available is really poor. Must be a slow pitch by the score.
Now seeing 140/1 in 23 overs . I'm looking at youtube updates.
Another is saying 150/4 in 24 overs, I prefer the first one
163/4 in 25 overs apparently.
In reply to Windiesfan78
163/4 after 25 overs?
WI 163/4 in 25 overs
In reply to goliath
That is correct
In reply to Windiesfan78
Thanks
168/4 after 26.
In reply to goliath
No prob.
170/4 after 27.
174/4 after 28.
180/4 after 29 overs.
194/4 after 33 overs.
203/4 34.1 overs.
In reply to Windiesfan78
What a. Good ting I overslept
Any link?
We should be able to make 320
Why can't CWI provide an updated scoreboard
In reply to Baje
Baffling that there's no text commentary or at least updates in this modern era.
In reply to Chrissy
Nope, all youtube updates.
WI 374-9 (50 Overs) in the second warm up match of the ICC World Cup Qualifiers against UAE

In reply to Windiesfan78
That is a good death over batting to achieve 150+ Runs in the last 12 Overs
WI 374-9 (50 Overs) in the second warm up match of the ICC World Cup Qualifiers against UAE
Rovman Powell 105 (55 balls)
Nicholas Pooran 74 (67 balls)
West Indies 374-9 (50 Overs) in the second warm up match of the ICC World Cup Qualifiers against UAE. Rovman Powell 105 (55 balls) and Nicholas Pooran 74 (67 balls).
So Rovman shot his load at the very 1st opportunity.
In reply to Pacy
I should say, let's hope we can qualify for the ODI World Cup.
In reply to Drapsey
Time for JA to go it alone!
Kirk, King and Rov all scored centuries recently!
In reply to Baje
I actually don't think it's just WI. No other cricket board is providing updates but the matches that are covered live bythe ICC.
So I'm guessing the ICC have the 'rights' to do so. Because not even a twitter update, yeah summen is up.
That is some serious batting now that the big boys are back. Well done, Rovman. You are the engine room for middle order.
In reply to Windiesfan78
I really hope so. I cannot go through another ICC tournament without WI. I had a hard time getting past the T20 WC without WI.
In reply to positiveg
So you saying that CWI couldn't post it on their scoreboard
In reply to Pacy
Telling me, I only was interested in the winner so I watched the final. Other than that, I lost interest from the time our lads didn't qualify.
UAE 24/0 in 4.1 overs.
The wi bowling looking toothless again up front
In reply to velo

We should be able to blow these guys out for less than 200.
In reply to StumpCam
KKR scoring tons of runs.
UAE 125/5 in 22.2 overs.
In reply to Windiesfan78
What's the link to updates on the match?
In reply to Hendra
Just check youtube, no live feeds that I am aware of.
UAE 160/5 in 28 overs.
In reply to Baje
So it seems
Why I'm saying that is because no other country in these warmup matches is able to do so. From SL all the way down to Oman.
UAE 168/5 after 30 overs.
173/5 after 32.
Mayers has 3 out of the 5 wickets.
183/5 in 34 overs.
198/5 after 42 overs.

Yup, should give the team a real boost of confidence. I hope that we can get proper updates when the qualifiers officially start.
In reply to Windiesfan78
Is that correct?

In reply to anthonyp
Carriah is going to take wickets in Zimbabwe. Watch di ride.
In reply to Chrissy
But he too expensive...and we still have problemsdismissing the tail. The guys need to do a garner and pin these Yorkers. The last wicket scored too many runs!! And UAE batsmen shouldnot be allowed to score centuries against us. We still have a lotta work, a lotta tighten up to do
Cariah going for runs but he picking up wickets
In reply to anthonyp
Thanks, bro...that's what I saw.
In reply to Discourse
To be honest, I have no idea. This is where I got my info from:

West Indies vs UAE Live Score
UAE have been all-out for 211. A huge win for WI.
In reply to Windiesfan78
Yep figured. A number of us as well.
Yup 260/9, that is disgraceful. Sorry about that folks. We couldn't bowl out UAE! Misled by a site that decided to end the match prematurely.
In reply to Windiesfan78
Finally...
A scorecard
Link Text
Keemo Paul: 54 from 50 without a boundary. That must have been some batting!
Dem boys having real fun if Pooran bowling lol the UAE batsmen just ended his career though after bowling 1 over for 28
9 out of 10 Leg spinners will bowl drag downs or full ones and get stick but they are wicket taking bowlers.
West Indies finally understanding what everyone knew for years. They tried with Walsh but he just did not improve on his bad ball percentage.
[b]In reply to Windiesfan78
A closer examination of the bowling would reveal the pacers Mayers Joseph Paul and Holder together bowled 26 overs conceded 97 runs and took four wickets....the bulk of the runs were scored off the spinners Hosein Cariah Pooran and Chase who conceded 155 from their 24 overs and took 5 wickets.
In a qualifying match any captain would give his pacers their full quota realizing this but it was a warmup match where everyone was given a bowl.
In reply to analyst-kid
Yep, even Czar Nicholas was given a bowl where his single over contributed 28 to the 260 runs total.
BTW, is the one over for 28 runs some kind of record?
In reply to Drapsey
The WI like Usain Bolt in the heats, pulled up and jogged halfway after taking the lead.
They cant do this in the qualifiers,,,they must go for a clinical finish.
In reply to analyst-kid
Well said
The wi lack strike bowlers they have mostly containing bowlers or at least try to contain
In reply to velo
Remember Curtley Ambrose always said he never bowled to take wickets in ODIs but rather to contain.
