This is so unfortunate. I expected that he was going to solidify his position by being our leading wicket taker. He was bowling well, with good zip on his leg breaks.

of all the men to get injured on the eve of the series, it had to be the one for whom there is no replacement. Speedy recovery, Yannick. I think that this give Holder a look in on my team as he was the only bowler that I was omitting.

'Struck in the face' is unfortunate and worthy of sympathy but for clarity and accuracy we should determine if 'struck in the face' was an accurate report or whether he was unable to complete a fielding task and was hit in the face as a result.
Careless reporting could lead to very poor decision making. Some shallow thinkers may even believe we are splitting hairs. While the result may be the same the remedy for avoiding a repeat could be very different.

A nasal fracture is a serious occurrence. Bowling practice, ball gets thrown, man nose bruk, eerie! Who is the bowling coach on tour again? A non-Windian, right?
