We have reached rock-bottom- the lowest we can fall. We now have two roads in which our journey can continue:

Rebuild WI team under a radically different structure or go the way of the West Indies Federation.

I had resisted calling for the breakup in spite of defeat after defeat over the years, but given CWIC/WICBC and the regional boards inability to run the game, I can offer no better alternative.

I would much prefer to see Guyana- with all their fans in the stadium battling it out with Scotland, or Trinidad v Ireland or Jamaica v Nepal.

I suggest in T-20 and ODI we break up and keep WI in the test match business

Btw, did you see Dukes post. He says and I am parphrasing here, the media should be more proactive in helping shape the future of West Indies cricket on the positive side. Hope you take his wish on and do your bit.

i am also seriously considering the idea that WI should remain only as a test playing nation and those who want to play ODI and T20 should apply for associate membership and work their way up the ranks.

It is the only way pride and passion can be restored.

This was the final straw- imagine we are competing with a make up Dutch team missing their top player.

We go into the Super 6 as the bottom placed- contrast with SL.

Also, compare how SL and Zimbabwe won their matches- they had the killer instinct. We struggled in every match, including our match against the mighty USA.

I am afraid our cricket will become CPL only.
