I would not have called this at all. I had Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe to qualify. I have to say congrats to them. Just goes to show. It is time that the ICC gives Scotland and Netherlands a chance to play against stronger teams more often.

Netherlands will give other Test teams problems in the WC.

Yes. But they won't get to play enough Tests if Ireland and Afghanistan are
examples. Unless they are put in a second tier alongside...Waste....s and Zimbabwe,Bangladesh et al.
That could work to preserve Test cricket.

Yup, a one off test every blue moon isn't cutting it. Just now, we will be an associate team at this rate. We can't even excel in lick it cricket.

No WI player can find a spot in any of the ICC ranked top 8 team is ANY format.
Even Shai Hope cant make a top 8 ODI team....he bats too slow for them

Can CWI arrange more tours to these countries for the benefit of our game and theirs? or are we bound to the FTP? Can it be done under the guise of A tours? We now all know that these second tier teams are seriously competitive and obviously have the appetite to play more cricket. Couldnt we invite one of them to play our Headley Weekes series (at their own expense if needed) against our champion team and two representative teams from the FC season?

Narps, it is better to have a strike rate of 80 something....... wait hold on. It is better to have an average of 50.81 than a strike rate of just under 85 with an average of just over 22. Ask Powell and I noticed that Mr. Hope's SR bas fallen below 80. We truly are in trouble now!
