Say what you want about de Colonel. He has achieved his mandate. Some may say spectacularly so.

His mandate is to put as many Bajans as possible on to the West Indies team in every format.

Given the composition of WI cricket teams during his tenure, mission accomplished.

Did Conde tell you that was his mandate? In any event shouldn't that be the mandate of every territory?

really?....the mandate of every territory should be presenting technically sound cricketers to the West Indies and to the general international circuit. If all you're producing is RTN, Nurse, chase etc, then clearly something is wrong

One would think the response should be to Imusic, but some people cannot help themselves.
Barbadian cricketers must have really hurt his pride.

well if most bajan cricketers had pride in performance, that would be a start

Imusic is subtle and sly with his bajan bashing. But this other fella has a sickness that appears incurable.

Leff dem.

People always focus on the team, there are more Bajan is support or administrative positions than playing!

It says something if bajan cricketers are mediocre but are still being selected over outstanding trinis.

Btw since before and after Lara I haven't seen the other hotshots

A person has to be a sickie, or someone who dislike a group, to act the way this Jackass acts.
I am not going to be suttle, in calling him out.
My nature tells me to respect everyone, but this dude is something else.
We can either ignore him, or show the world his dislike for others.

As for this thread, it should be the mandate for every territorial board oresident to get as many of their territories players on the WI team.

Maybe that mandate needs revisiting.

In any case, given that Mandate, during his tenure, Conde Riley has succeeded way beyond his regional counterparts combined.

That’s impressive. No matter what anyone may think of him.

yes....it says West Indian cricket administration is an inept boys club. tell me which bajan player outside of holder, mayers and drakes are considered regulars on the t20 circuit?....even in the Bangladesh premiere league.

RE: Barbados please get rid of RILEY & HOPE TOPIC

A shake-up in the leadership of one of West Indies cricket’s most influential territorial boards appears to be in the making.

will have the most unqualified players on the team

Mate, these back and forth single comparison stats never lead anywhere good! sad

Halliwell Aug 16, 2023, 4:43:05 AM

My 2 c is that regional boards should not push their mediocre players above clearly better men from other countries. They need to maximise their potential absolutely but I guess the problem is they don’t have enough cricket and enough opportunity to share equally. And sharing unequally on merit isn’t a satisfactory outcome when men get no piece of the pie.

That’s a pipe dream

You think a board President going to keep back a player from his territory because there might be another player from another territory that’s better?

Come on man
