He is playing for the Jamaica U17 team, any relationship to one of the best inning I witnessed at the mecca, from another Pinnock?

In Jamaica, every Pinnock is related!

One of the best innings I saw at Kensington oval was by Renford Pinnock, what made it so memorable, Barbados was at full strength, hall, Griffith, Prof and maybe Gary, Pinnock scored a ton.
It was his gimmicks that ever schoolboy who saw him bat, had memory of.

Back in the day my 'school' played host to Reinford Pinnock's football team (Bernard Lodge Sugar Estates ??). I wasn't good enough to represent my school but was proud to be a member of the hospitality team that served up refreshments following the game.
Pinnock's response after partaking of the servings was, "You guys certainly make better 'wash' than footballers".

Don't know if Pinnock ever played for Bernard Lodge but in my youth saw him playing for Caymanas Estates against Monymusk around 1966; he scored a goal, then with a big smile on his face posed for the imaginary cameras.

That's Pinny for you, jovial, humorous.
He was a wicked winger for Alcan too.
But perhaps his best innings for JA was a ton vs. A Rothman's XI captained by Sobers and with an attack of Intikab, Sobie, Titmus. Brown and the other England pacer that formed the trio with Snow.

Here's a Pinny joke told by a former JA player.
He said during Shell Shield days Ja had an away game and a player who was rooming with Pinny said that one morning he could not get from one side of the room to the other side, because Pinny had a hard-on and he could not get over it, around it, above it or under it.
Suh mi getti suh mi selli.
Punny who never drank took a bottle of rum for a pal in TNT. Yard was in a spot of bother and Pinny pulled the bottle from his kit. A dismayed teammate said "Pinny wa yuh a duh wid dat" Pinny calmly replied "I'm just reachung for the team spirit"
Trying to impress coach Pinny who was hitting balls to the outfield I rushed in picked up on the run and fired in to the keeper. Problem is it wwnt closer to Pinny than the keeper, actuaLly a wild return. Pimny- i did keep for JA but never with a bat in hand
