Barbados Royals 161/4 (Athanaze 76, Evans 30; Green 2/21, Wasim 1/36) beat Jamaica Tallawahs 160/7(Brooks 78, Wasim 33; Holder 2/19, Ahmad 2/42) by 6 wickets
Barbados Royals returned to winning ways in the Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League (CPL) with a six-wicket victory over the Jamaica Tallawahs.
The Royals won the toss and opted to field first and it proved to be an inspired decision in the early passages of the game.
The Tallawahs' innings imploded inside the PowerPlay with the loss of three wickets but good recovery batting at the back end led by Shamarh Brooks ensured the Tallawahs set a tricky 161 for the Royals to win.

I don't expect the refugee tallawahs to win another game. They are the only team in the competition without a home ground. Too bad the counry after which they are named is the poorest of the nations in the competition and can't afford a home ground for them. This country can't even afford to host any of the games. O how far this country has fallen. It's a burning shame.

Joker,
Every year, some teams will miss out on home games.
When was the last time Barbados had games.
It is all about saving traveling monies.
I am sure that next years Yardie will have games.
As all ya does sey.

The real reason is the fact that CWI is slowly squeezing out and ostracizing jamaica from CPL ,50 overs and 4 day cricket with the tacit blessing of JCA.
The JCA is feeding at the trough, money a run so they have no interest in promoting their players.
Every day fom the other island, respective players are promoted and pump up on this message board after showing a hint of talent.
When was the last time a young jamaican player was hail as up and coming.
(excluding Jordon Johnson whose exceptional talent took years to acknowledge)
I predict within the next five years or less there wont be a jamaican team in the CPL.... they will be called the Florida Hurricanes

The strategy of playing games in close proximity is a sound financial one.but it also creates a close niche of one .... between the local players and the respective islands.
Thus their criticism is mild and apologetic.
However the criticism of jamaican players(sometime justly) is a lot more vociferous, caustic and vehemently unpleasantly, rough and jarring.
The more erudite ones comment are much more subtle and or covert.you just have to read between the lines. The glee and delight is also quite obvious
As jamaica is geograhically further away. they may feel cocooned so no fear of being challenged the next day on comment made via electronic, print or social media.
backlash is not expected.

Why does Rovman get so much schtick?, when he has being such a successful CPL and West Indian Captain.

The current 16 member Jamaica Tallawah roster has only 5 jamaicans.
Here are some jamaican emerging players that need a chance
Steven Wedderburn
Jordan Johnson
Justin Beckford
Michael Clarke
Kevaughndre Virgo
Tamarie Redwood
Adrian Weir
Brian Barnes

I already told someone that the YARD will DEMAND ROVMAN back as sooon as the contract allows.
He is head n shoulders above other Captains.
All the others...and I stand by that.

I notice that he intentionally took last ball singles in two and a half overs to give Cornwall a 12 ball rest.
A sage Captain

Apparently his message board is previewed daily by CWI and broadcasters/announcers.
I don't believe in coincidence
Sportsmaxzone answer to (somewhat) my above hypothesis.

Since I mentioned Rovman the commemtators have steer clear from speaking about him.
